Turns out that someone on staff has a massive crush on Florence Pugh, so THEY don’t get to write this article. That fact is almost as fun as the first trailer for Marvel’s “Thunderbolts*”. The action is amazing, which is no surprise, but upon first viewing of what just may become a mid-level Marvel Studios classic, it begs the question is there a requirement to have seen the films and more pressingly the shows that these characters come from in order to understand the story. You might not even know why Elane from ‘Friends’ is in this. If viewers put prerequisites aside, will this film actually make any sense?

Revisiting every single back story would be tiresome at this point. Another interesting aspect of the trailer is that here are obviously some surprises in store for viewers, due to the exclusion of Red Hulk, (Thunderbolt Ross) and the seeming flip flop of allegiances among characters. Eline from ‘Friends’ (that’s what we’re just going to call “Valentina Allegra de Fontaine“) has long been rumored to be the “Nick Fury” of this team, and it would honestly be nice to see her lead a “dark Avengers”, as this outing is seemingly laced with a darker tone than ‘The Avengers’.
