The Official (Live Action) ‘Cowboy Bebop’ Netflix Trailer.

Between Dave Chappelle’s ground breaking specials, ‘Squid Games’, and Australia’s ‘Why Are You Like This’, Netflix’s stock just keeps going up. This treasure trove of new content is only getting more interesting, especially with the addition of a live action rendition of ‘Cowboy Bebop’. There have been endless attempts at bringing Japans’ most popular anime shows or movies to live action with some blockbusters like ‘DragonBall’, ‘Alita: Battle Angel’, ‘Ghost In The Shell’, ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’, and ‘Speed Racer’. (Remember all of those well loved, wonderfully reviewed classics?). But in what seems to be the beginnings of a turn-around for Anime to live-action misadventures, ‘Cowboy Bebop’ seems to be an honest attempt at making this transition right. When taking a look at the first trailer for this experiment below, you can’t help but think to yourself… “This one actually looks pretty good.”

The First Planet OUTSIDE Of Our Galaxy.

THIS IS NOT AN ACTUAL PHOTO OF THE PLANET!

Scientists have found signs of a planet transiting a star outside of the Milky Way, potentially representing what could be the first-ever planet to be detected in another galaxy. Researchers found evidence of a planet in the Messier 51 galaxy, located some 28 million light-years away from the Milky Way, as they detected a dip in brightness in the luminous “whirlpool” system. They used NASA’s Chandra X-ray Telescope to observe transits, which can sometimes occur when planets pass in front of stars and block out a portion of the light. The transit technique has been used by astronomers for years to aid the discovery of exoplanets and exoplanet candidates — all of which have been found in the Milky Way up until now. It’s a method that has produced successful results, though it also presents a few challenges, particularly for scientists wanting a second viewing to confirm their finding. “Unfortunately to confirm that we’re seeing a planet we would likely have to wait decades to see another transit,” said Nia Imara, who co-authored the recently published paper, presenting data that is consistent with a model of a planet candidate. “And because of the uncertainties about how long it takes to orbit, we wouldn’t know exactly when to look.” While attempts to confirm the observation may be thwarted, the study’s lead author, Rosanne Di Stefano, recognized that the potential discovery may help to broaden future studies and “open up a whole new arena for finding other worlds by searching for planet candidates at X-ray wavelengths, a strategy that makes it possible to discover them in other galaxies.”

T-Pain Flips The Twitch.

Everyone knows that celebrities at the end of the day, are just regular people like us. Many stars have been known to voice their love for dabbling in video games from ‘Dungeons and Dragons’ to World of Warcraft. Now we KNOW we’re late to the game here, (no pun intended) but upon first hear of rapper T-Pain joining “Twitch” the video game streaming service, where you can WATCH players play the game, along with the players themselves, we knew we had to take a look. It’s one thing to hear about your favorite rapper or singer playing your favorite video game, but to see them in FULL spectacle during their introduction must be a treat. That being said, T-Pain has to hold the title for THE MOST fantastic Twitch intro in Hip Hop history, and it true Twitch fashion, the whole world can see it. Now we know this occurred a little over a year ago when Covid lockdown was in full effect, but it’s spectacular enough to share never the less.

Modern Villas (Literally).

Modern Villas create world-class luxury architecture, in a more time, and cost-effective way than prima donna “starchitects”.  A lot of their projects are “cross border”. A Belgian building in a luxury home Spain, a Dutchman building villas in the Caribbean, an American building mansions in Africa, or a Chinese building in Sydney the list goes on and on.  Their network of architects makes it safe and easy to build anywhere.  The videos may be virtual reality, but what you see is what you get.  Modern Villas is at the forefront of high tech architecture software. The luxury architects design in a virtual 3D environment, so they can create more beautiful, creative and luxurious home designs. Better, and faster.  It would be amazing to see your house before a single shovel hit the ground.  Check out some their spectacular designs already in existence.

Who You Gonna Call?

Sony Pictures has released an international trailer for “Ghostbusters: Afterlife”, and while a few shots are recycled from previous promos, this teaser comprised almost entirely of new footage. When the review embargo lifted last week, many critics took issue with how much Afterlife relied on fan-service and revisiting well-known scenarios from the original movies, and the marketing team appears to have taken this on board… by dialling the nostalgia all the way up to 11 for this new trailer. We hear an updated version of the classic theme as our young heroes chase spooks in the Ecto-1, there are several mentions of Egon (the late Harold Ramis), and the return of one of the first film’s Terror Dogs. In fact, right at the end we get a recreation of the scene in which Louis Tully (Rick Moranis) discovers one of the preternatural pooches in his closet. While this will likely prove to be divisive, we have a feeling a lot of Ghostbusters fans are going to lap it up.

The NOT Trailer For Black Adam!

As many people may already know, there still is no trailer for Dwayne Johnson’s passion project “Black Adam”, HOWEVER, thanks to DC’s Fandome exhibition, The Rock was able to display a featurette.  This movie has been in a years long fight through the workings of Hollywood, and now is finally wrapping up its production.  In a cross section of some of the scenes shown off you can hear them say Shazam’s name, and while we’re not entirely sure what exactly they have to do with one another, Its widely known that Black Adam is a Shazam villain. One of the Hodge brothers is in the film which is never a bad thing for any film, but now that we’ve gotten a peak at just a hair of a hind of the finished product, we’re sure this is just driving fans that can’t wait to see an actual first trailer… much less the finished film.

Papoose & Lil Wayne – ‘Thought I Was Gunna Stop’ Freestyle.

With the lyrical strength Papoose has had from the second he entered the rap arena, it’s always been a mystery of mysteries as to why he’s constantly overlooked. Every once In a while, regardless of their situation, an rapper doesn’t have to punch down on a freestyle track, or punch up… in ‘Though I Was Gonna Stop’, Papoose matches wits with Lil Wayne, and simply punches LINES. Check the method below, and dont fear to let us know what you think about this Timbaland produced track below. We only wish it was a little bit longer.

Skmei el Luminous: 1229.

That title may seem foreign to some, because it is. That however isn’t what makes the photos of this time piece exotic. If you were under the assumption that this time piece was real, then the visual effects prowess of __ has already got you. Using Redshift and Cinema 4D __ has been able to recreate the 1299 Watch for the client Skmei. This incredibly life-like demonstration of texturing, lighting, and 3D modeling took about 2 weeks to create and is just as impressive as the watch itself.

Dave Chappelle is BACK. (again)… (AGAIN).

It started with “The Age Of Spin”, and has spun out of control from there with the resurgence of Dave Chappelle. He’s gone from Comedy Central show host to legend as soon as he quit the Chappelle show, and seemingly out of nowhere, his return rocked the comedy scene. The promotional ads for his newest Netflix special seem to ask the same question, how do you finish a run of HOURS of comedy that has been this prolific. Since Chappelle started his first special with Morgan Freeman narrating, comedy fans and audiences alike have been waiting for an epic conclusion while never wanting them to end at the same time. Take a look as some of the promos as you may be waiting anxiously for TOMORROW, October 5th, 2021. ‘The Closer’ can only be followed by the wait for whatever Chappelle decides to do next.

What Are Ceramic Watches?

Ceramic is a material we see on a daily basis. Things such as clay products, silicate glass, and even cement are ceramic. However, just like how those materials differ, ceramic in watches also prove unique. Generally speaking, ceramic is non-metallic. However, it’s also a solid material. In watches, combining metal compounds with pure materials or powder with alloy makes up ceramic. This exactly is how Rolex creates its proprietary Cerachrom material. To create Cerachrom, Rolex mixes very fine zirconium oxide or aluminium oxide powder with organic binding agents. The latter gives the Cerachrom such a bright and bold pigment. With that said, it’s only rightful that ceramic watches get easily associated with luxury watch brands. Ceramic gives any timepiece a polished look as compared to metal with varying finishes. It’s also not as typical as the ceramic we see in our kitchen. Ceramic in watches is durable and robust. In fact, many watch brands employ the same technology as NASA with their rockets and satellites. Most of the ceramic in watches come from fine powder or fibres. That’s what makes the end results appear more defined and smooth. This is the reason why ceramic watches have a specific look that no steel or precious metal watch possesses.

‘The Suicide Squad’ Bloopers Are Here.

The Suicide Squad won’t hit DVD and Blu-ray until October 26, but James Gunn’s bonkers DC Comics requel is now available to purchase on Digital formats, and Warner Bros. has marked the occasion by sharing an official gag-reel for the movie online. There are some very funny moments here, including Flula Borg improving his lines and hijacking the helicopter scene as Javelin, Idris Elba inadvertently hitting David Dastmalchian in the family jewels when he tosses him a gun, John Cena reclaiming Frodo’s lost finger (and then sucking it), and more.

We also get a brief look at one of the film’s deleted scenes, as Ratcatcher 2 (Daniela Melchior) finds a distraught Polka-Dot Man (Dastmalchian) in the back of the van. This is most likely the sequence we heard about involving Abner and The Thinker (Peter Capaldi) outside the nightclub which results in the latter losing his earlobe.  The Suicide Squad may have underperformed at the box office, but the movie now has a chance to make a big impact on home release. Do you plan on picking up a copy on Blu-ray when it hits next month?

The DJ Earworm Addresses The United States Of Pop…. 2018.

For more than a decade, DJ Earworm has been blending the year’s top songs into a massive “United States of Pop” mashup at the end of each year. He began the series in 2007, kicking off with a combo of songs from Soulja Boy, Akon, Avril Lavigne, Rihanna, Fergie, and more. It’s been 11 years since that inaugural mashup, and Earworm hasn’t slowed down in the slightest.  His 2018 edition just made its YouTube debut on December 4, highlighted by tracks from Ariana Grande, Post Malone, Zedd, Childish Gambino, Marshmello, and more.

The four-minute mashup kicks off with songs from Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line, and Maroon 5 and Cardi B, before cycling through Drake‘s iconic “In My Feelings,” Bruno Mars and Cardi B’s “Finesse,” Travis Scott and Drake’s “Sicko Mode,” and dozens others.  Regardless of your personal taste in music, any TRUE DJ has to admit that this is an impressive feat to accomplish.  Take a listen.

Allendale Chizle – Allendale (Official Video).

Since the total reinvention of his image, and a change in name, the streets of Oakland have been clambering for some new music from Allendale Chizle.  The video, produced by ‘Albanza Films’ for his new single Allendale, should give the people exactly what they’re been looking for.  Check the video below.

Take A Look At King Kong’s Amazing Final New Trailer.

It’s only been about 12 years or so since the last time anyone saw Kong the King on screen.  This new adaptation at first had some doubters but after a few looks, and this latest trailer, I don’t know how anyone could not be excited for the new Kong.  Check the trailer below.

The CKIE online shop is filled with amazing trinkets, but the Reveal watch caught my eye this morning. The time is always in the present. This 33mm timekeeper reveals the current time through a looking glass while fading the past and the future. (Also available in a 40mm model). If you are a person of the present, this watch is made specifically for you.

The Road To ‘Civil War’.

Captain+America-+Civil+War

The American Civil War… just kidding.  This has nothing to do with any of that.  I had the incredible opportunity to see Captain America: Civil War today, and I will not spoil anything.  However before I hit the secret Disney/Marvel screening, I took a look at a YouTube playlist of all the current Marvel Cinematic Universe trailers (which you can find here), and in the process, I stumbled across a video from the amazing editors at ‘MCU Exchange’ titled “Road To Civil War”.  This is a wonderfully put together 7 minute video that shows the progression of the MCU up until Captain America: Civil War.  Check out the complete wrap up below. Civil War hits theaters on Thursday May 5th in the U.S.

Have You Ever Seen A Black Badger.

HMX_BB_Top_Night-trio_Hres_CMYK

The press release for the Black Badger says the watch features “three-dimensional objects” milled from “solid light.” The science geek in me recoils at such phrasing but nevertheless, I was curious and keen to learn what alchemical tricks James Thompson the watch’s creator had used to transform his rage into solid light. Check the method.

The HYT Skull Bad Boy.

HYT-SkullBadBoy-front

Death. Power. Celebration. The skull is associated with numerous themes, and HYT has used it to great effect in its namesake collection. The Skull watch was first released in two references with red and green liquids, each sporting matching eyes of the corresponding color and resembling a different comic book character. The Skull Maori came next, and had detailing that evoked traditional Maori tribal tattoos. For its latest creation, the Skull Bad Boy, HYT has ventured into the rebellious, grittier subcultures of biking and hard rock.  The most striking aspect of the new release is its fluid module’s black liquid, which had taken the brand over a year to develop.

HYT-SkullBadBoy-Back

It’s worth noting that every new color used in the brand’s fluid modules is an individual “product” whose hue is just one aspect that must be engineered – the liquid must also maintain a defined meniscus within the glass tube, repel itself from the tube’s inner walls instead of sticking to it, have a suitable viscosity and thermal coefficient, and finally be UV resistant.  Chemistry aside, black also represents an entirely new shade for the brand, whose past developments have been confined to bright, almost fluorescent liquids. The new liquid is a perfect fit for the Skull Bad Boy’s monochromic color scheme, which includes a black DLC-coated titanium case and slate grey leather strap. The watch’s overall look is sinister, and fully deserving of its name. The general lack of vibrancy doesn’t translate into a lack of details though. Note how the grey hour indexes on the flange support the theme with their Gothic typeface, and the dial’s Clous de Paris pattern that resembles a leather cuff’s studs.

The T-Block Watch.

T – Block re-defines time through an original quality timepiece and has a very futuristic look.  It boasts a robust design that’s unlike any other watch you’ve seen. Clear, LEDs are embedded in a tough polyurethane case and seamless matching strap. When the watch is in sleep mode, the LEDS are dim, but if you want to know the time or date, just hit one of the buttons and the  lights appear, revealing the time and day.

Watch What You Eat.

process book studio3 final priny process book studio3 final priny process book studio3 final priny

Google’s made some really nifty advances. Google whatever you’re eating and you’ll get a rough calorie count of your meal. However, you can’t rely completely on Google’s algorithm. Some people use too much butter or fat, some people cut down on unnecessary carbs. Google doesn’t account for that. What you then need is the Telo wristband.

Armed with state of the art tech, this little bad boy makes use of a sensor on your wrist to assimilate your food and give you a fairly accurate estimate of how many calories it contains. That aside, it also warns you of any ingredients that may be allergenic. The Telo also comes with its companion app that completes the user experience/interaction circle. Loaded with features, it allows you to get the most out of Telo, and yourself too.

While some may say that an entire wristband may be a little too clunky for them and that a calorie counting app and a fitness wearable work just fine, I say this isn’t for the nonchalant-hearted. The Telo is a core-fitness device, almost crossing into the medical category. Given that, the Telo is a necessity and therefore having it on your wrist sounds absolutely plausible.

The Telo is ideal for people with blood sugar/cholesterol issues, heart risks, obesity problems, or mild to serious food allergy issues. That aside, if you want to get serious about watching what you eat, watch it with this ‘watch’.

Batman v. Superman: Brand New Trailer.

Duckwrth – Psycho (Official Video).

duckwrth

It’s rare that the music videos provide us with a form of story telling now a days, be it straightforward or more abstract, the Hip Hop video landscape is littered with cars and falling money, and single colored backgrounds.  (No offense to anyone who has a video like that… I’ve been in a few myself).  The social commentary and quick witted delivery of Duckwrth’s single “Psycho” required accompanying visuals that also made a statement.  The sleek and sultry bass lines provided by The Kickdrums, move the video through a few basic but beautifully shot scenes.  Director Nick Snow and crew did a wonderful job, from a full 720 degree tracking shot in the park, to the bright and slightly ominous apartment ending with blood red walls.  Check the method below.

The ZIIIRO Mercury.

Mercury_black_purpleweb_2048x2048

The ZIIIRO Mercury watch displays time in a simple and unique way. The tip of the inner swirl represents the current hour, while the outer swirl displays the minutes, with a continuous gradient movement showing the passing through time.  Brilliantly designed, and something I’d thoroughly love to have for my birthday.
