I was watching a program on the Sundance Channel titled “Brick City” which is mini series short about Newark, New Jersey, it’s mayor, and its citizens. They discuss issues like violent crime reduction, gangs, and the people who protect the city. During a commercial I got a text that said the “Welcome To My Hood” video dropped by DJ Khaled, Plies, Rick Ross, T Pain, and Lil Wayne, and I found it quite fitting. Now lets keep in mind, by no means is Newark my hood, I’m South Plainfield all day. But I’m a strong supporter of anything Jersey (besides the ‘Shore’), so I had to mention the EWR.
