no-new-friends

Cash Money’s DJ Khaled is getting ready to release his Suffering From Success album this summer. Here is the single off the project featuring the same lineup from the “I’m On One” song – Lil Wayne, Drake and Rick Ross. The track is called “No New Friends” and it was produced by Boi-1da and Noah “40″ Shebib.

Lil Wayne, Birdman, Future, Mack Maine & Nicki Minaj – Tapout

tap-out-copy

Lil Wayne brings the entire crew together today for the release of his new “Tapout” music video. This video was directed by Hannah Lux Davis and features Birdman, Future, Mack Maine and Nicki Minaj. Not only does the Rich Gang take the cake for an elaborate video but there is even special cameos from Paris Hilton, Christina Milian and so many more. Paris and Christina are aiming to spike the rich guy’s drink while they steal all of his valuables. Classy. Look out for appearances from Bow Wow and DJ Khaled as well.

French Montana Presents “Coke Boys TV” Episode 14 (DJ Khaled & Future Studio Session)

DJ Khaled feat. Kanye West & Rick Ross – I Wish You Would/Cold.

Hold onto something stable before pressing “play” on DJ Khaled, Kanye West and Rick Ross‘ “I Wish You Would” video — you might feel a little dizzy. If you’d rather not risk it, we’ll sum up the Hype Williams-directed clip for you: Khaled, Yeezy and Ross rap in a brick alleyway, often cloaked in darkness, as the camera mercilessly shakes back and forth. The vid for West’s Kim Kardashian-referencing “Cold” is tacked on at the end (complete with a blink-and-you-miss-it cameo by the socialite), filmed in the same location with the same seizure-inducing shakiness. We’re honestly baffled at the lack of creativity (and the lack of production value) displayed here — is this seriously the best these three big names (four if you count Williams) could deliver?

Studio Footage: DJ Khaled & Just Blaze Working on ‘Kiss The Ring’.

If there is one thing that DJ Khaled is extremely good at, it is making the most simple of tasks seem like an epic event. In this video, DJ Khaled and the legendary Just Blaze hit the studio to work on his new “album,” Kiss The Ring. Check the method.

Kayne West, Kim K, And Modern Day Medicine.

Kanye West being the center of attention is nothing new to anyone, but with the news of him and Kim K. blew up all over the blogosphere, and a new track surfaced with DJ Khaled.  Theraflu is an interesting joint that takes some shots at Kim Kardashian’s ex Kris Humphries, and P.E.T.A. (the anti-animal cruelty folks) for when she got flower bombed.  Some of the lines in the second verse are downright awesome, but it all goes to show that once Mr. West falls for a woman, he falls hard.

Take a listen to “Theraflu” below.

Birdman & DJ Khaled Talk New YMCMB Business.

The YMCMB crew has been putting brick on top of brick onto the castle in their music empire for quite some time now.  But every so often people will hear certain rumors, like that they signed Fred Durst, or that every 6 months they look at a new batch of recruits, or whatever else the web has spit out recently.  But the one thing I like to wait for is hearing the facts right from the lion’s mouth.  In the video below, DJ Khaled, and the originator of Cash Money, Birdman get together to discuss some new business in the YMCMB community.  Check the method.

For those die-hard Young Money fans that want a listen of the new single “Take It To The Head” that you heard in the video, take a listen to it below.

DJ Khaled’s Birthday At Mansion In Miami.

The pic above of DJ Khaled rocking his old Terror Squad chain of yesteryear, but since his old days of T.S. he’s moved on to bigger and better things.  A new label (Young Money), a new boss, (Lil Wayne), and a new crew (YMCMB), but most importantly, a new year brings new challenges, and at his birthday party at Mansion in Miami, his old friends came by wish the big man luck on his new endeavors.  Check the video below.

Everyone Loves Wingstop.

For all those unfortunate souls out there who are unaware of the wonders of Wing Stop, it’s a restaurant with locations in California, and sprinkled around the south and east.  They have some of the best wings in the bay, and if the recipe is the same at every location in the country, there’s no doubt in my mind that they’re the best wherever they are.  Now, before you start to think that I’m blowing things out of proportion… Take a look at the video below, and remember that even the ‘biggest’ boss Rick Ross has mentioned Wing Stop in his song MC Hammer.

YMCMB Take L.A. (VMA’s And Lil Wayne’s C4 Release Party)

There’s no doubt that YMCMB has been doing it big for a few years.  But when the entire group descended on Los Angeles, for the Video Music Awards, and Lil Wayne’s record release party, things got a little crazy.  Check the method below.

Boating Around The Port Of Maimi.

99% of the time I travel, it’s either for business or for vacation.  Rarely do I ever mix a trip up with a bit of both, but my recent voyage to Miami was just that.  My assistant and I stayed up the entire night before to leave at 3 in the morning, jumped on our plane before the sun came up, made a short trip to Texas, and got into MIA before night fall.  Immediately the next morning we got up and started drinking before grabbing some food at the beach and getting down to business.  Most of our days were like that until our last, where some friends and one of my cousins linked up and took an interesting, and very relaxing trip on a private boat around some of the water ways of Miami.

Aside from a few dolphins that were chilling by our boat, some of the highlights of that morning were some of the sights around Star Island.  We peeped out one of Diddy’s cribs, saw one of the original MTV Cribs houses, and even swung by a MONSTER boat owned by the prince of some Arab nation… and his “shadow boat” that was equally as big, required 30 crew to operate, only carried his cars, smaller boats, and other various toys, and who’s sole purpose was to follow his main boat around just in case he needed some extra entertainment.  (Baller).  I took some pics of a couple of other attractions.  Check the method below.

The $22 Mil. Yacht where they filmed "I'm On A Boat".

The most photographed house in Miami... The mansion where they filmed Scarface.

Gloria Estephan's house next to Sylvester Stalone's place. (Don't mind my finger in the corner)

The pool house of Al Capone's Maimi compound.

And once again, an infinite thank you to Kamekia, Danny, B, Ash, and Jay.

Rick Ross’s Plaque For I’m On One.

This morning I came across a pretty straight-to-the-point video of Rick Ross receiving a gold plaque from DJ Khaled for the smash single ‘I’m On One’.  Khaled promised that a platinum plauqe, and a double platinum were both on their way, which is a huge accomplishment for any artist.  And not only is ‘I’m On One’ one of my favorite records, but the footage from the show in this video was taken at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA the very same night a client of mine got me VIP tickets to the show.  So it was a good feeling watching this video, and knowing I was right there by the stage during that performance.  Check the method below.

Lil Niqo’s BMF Freestyle.

Child exploitation is always something I’ve been apposed to.  It takes a person time and experience to be good at what they do.  Although it takes 1,000 hours to be an expert at your craft, some people seem to skip ahead.  One of my best friends showed me a video the other day of a rapper named Lil Niqo.  I was shocked to find out that the “Lil” in Lil Nio was nothing short of the understatement of the year.  None the less, the people behind him have put a lot of effort into presenting him to the world.  Check out his BMF freestyle, and feel free to share your opinion of it.

DJ Khaled’s We The Best Tour.

Everyone know DJ Khaled’s favorite catch phrase “We The Best”, and now he’s taken it from a saying, to an album (dropping July 19th), to a tour.  Check out one of his Las Vegas video blogs featuring all sorts craziness.

I’m On One Docu-Video.

I’m well aware that I posted up some footage by Derick G recently documenting behind the scenes of a music video, but going through his collection of work has led me to another gem.  The documentary style footage taken of the “I’m On One” video takes an interesting peek behind the curtain of Miami life, the concept behind the music video, and the people who helped put it all together.  Check the method below.

‘Welcome To My Hood’ – Official Remix Video.

During the Lil Wayne ‘I Am Still Music’ concert I attended on Easter, Weezy stopped the show and told the crowd to throw their hands up if they were raised in the hood, and I had to keep it real, be honest, and keep quiet… until my assistant started screaming, (at which point I had to break my silence tell her to shut up, because she wasn’t raised in the hood either).  But regardless of my upbringing, I still thoroughly enjoy DJ Khaled’s song ‘Welcome To My Hood”, and hearing his fully loaded remix is dope, but the video is even doper, check the method below.

DJ Khaled ft. Plies, Rick Ross, T Pain, and Lil Wayne – Welcome To My Hood.

Click the pic to watch the video.

I was watching a program on the Sundance Channel titled “Brick City” which is mini series short about Newark, New Jersey, it’s mayor, and its citizens.  They discuss issues like violent crime reduction, gangs, and the people who protect the city.  During a commercial I got a text that said the “Welcome To My Hood” video dropped by DJ Khaled, Plies, Rick Ross, T Pain, and Lil Wayne, and I found it quite fitting.  Now lets keep in mind, by no means is Newark my hood, I’m South Plainfield all day.  But I’m a strong supporter of anything Jersey (besides the ‘Shore’), so I had to mention the EWR.  Below is the behind the scenes video for the shoot of “Welcome To My Hood” produced by T Pain’s team.  But to see the finished product, click the pic above for the official video.

All I Do Is Win…

Nappy Boy online recently released a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of the video for new the DJ Khaled track featuring T-Pain, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, and Rick Ross.  “All I Do Is Win” is the first single off Khaled’s recently released “Victory” album.
