Rick Ross’ affinity for drug lords has never been a secret. Recently, he appeared on the Starz network television series Magic City as Miami kingpin, “Butterball.” In his latest video “No Games”, Ross takes it a step further by comparing himself to Tony Montana. Though the song features Future (also known for a Scarface self-comparison) we don’t see him in the video. Instead, we get tons of Al Pacino, often humorously synced up to the lyrics, as though Future’s unmistakable voice flows from the Oscar winner. “No Games” will appear on Ricky Rozay’s next album, Mastermind, currently without a release date.
A partially shirtless Ross, Birdman and Ace Hood plot to stick up an armored truck in the Dre Films-helmed clip. They wear scary ‘Friday the 13th’-style masks in their adventure. Young Breed and Caskey also make appearances as accomplices. “Trying to flip these 50 plates,” raps Rozay. “I’m dying to fill this empty sack.” The track is featured on the Rich Gang album compilation.
Cash Money’s DJ Khaled is getting ready to release his Suffering From Success album this summer. Here is the single off the project featuring the same lineup from the “I’m On One” song – Lil Wayne, Drake and Rick Ross. Jay Sean has released the song ‘Mars’ featuring MMG’s Rick Ross. The track will come from his second Cash Money LP, which is set to drop on June 25 and is called ‘Neon’. Jay told Rap-Up TV of the offering: “The album is the best piece of work I’ve done to date, without a doubt in the last 10 years… It’s just all of the great genres that I love and I grew up on in one. The songwriting and production on this album is superb. It really took us a long time to get it right, but I’m so proud of it.”
French Montana treated us to a double dose of visuals yesterday. Tyga released an official music video for his song “Dope” featuring Rick Ross on his VEVO YouTube channel. The video is just over five minutes long and it features a high speed car chase. The video begins with Tyga walking up to a parked car and shooting the driver. Tyga then gets into his own car and drives away. Right as he drives away cops begin to follow him and a high speed chase around the city begins. The rest of the “Dope” music video switches between scenes of the car chase and Tyga rapping inside a mansion with Rick Ross. The song “Dope” is the lead single from Tyga’s upcoming third studio album, “Hotel California”.

Hold onto something stable before pressing “play” on DJ Khaled, Kanye West and Rick Ross‘ “I Wish You Would” video — you might feel a little dizzy. If you’d rather not risk it, we’ll sum up the Hype Williams-directed clip for you: Khaled, Yeezy and Ross rap in a brick alleyway, often cloaked in darkness, as the camera mercilessly shakes back and forth. The vid for West’s Kim Kardashian-referencing “Cold” is tacked on at the end (complete with a blink-and-you-miss-it cameo by the socialite), filmed in the same location with the same seizure-inducing shakiness. We’re honestly baffled at the lack of creativity (and the lack of production value) displayed here — is this seriously the best these three big names (four if you count Williams) could deliver?
