Lady Gaga’s Explicit Telephone Video

As many may have heard, E! News premiered the brand new 9 minute video to Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” Thursday night.  The super sexual, vulgar, and graphic video is a bit too much for stations like VH1, or MTV, but is here for all to see in its entirety.  Check out the “Telephone” by Lady Gaga ft. Beyonce by clicking the pic.

Audrey Amelie Photography

Every so often, at a gallery, or art show, a piece of art catches your eye, be it a painting, sketch, or photograph.  Most of the time the artists who produce these pieces and display them for the world, have 2 or 3 out of their entire collection that out shines everything else around it.  It’s very rare to find a painter, sketch artist, or photographer who’s every single piece is a masterful work that grabs your attention, and demonstrates that individual is master of their craft.  Audrey Amelie is the type of photographer that displays this type of rare skill with her photos.  Click the pics to see more of her work.

One time, at Band Camp…

Bandcamp.com

Every artist in or out of the game has to have an outlet to publicize their music. For most right now that outlet is the over used, over saturated, easily manipulated myspace music. It’s just as easy to find a person with html knowledge to change the number of page views you have, and the number of daily plays as it is to pose as another artist, or steal their material. And even if an up-and-coming artist was legitimate, he has no way of telling who’s listening to his music and what their responses are to it. The music site Bandcamp.com aims to fix these issues, and has defiantly hit the bullseye. The site provides a clear-cut space to display your music with no limits as to how many songs your allowed. The artist or band can also get a very in-depth look at which songs their fans are listening to all the way through, partially listening to, or are skipping all together. The band has the ability to choose their own price for their song if they wish to charge, (with no money being profiteered by Bamdcamp), and can also see any and all links posted about their music from Bandcamp. This new site will soon become the blueprint by which many other music sites are built, trust me. I’m not just a spokesperson… I’m a member. The site is free, so check out http://www.bandcamp.com to set yours up, or refer a friend with an interest in their music being heard.

The Young and The Restless

Last night, I had the distinct pleasure of partying with one of London’s finest celebrity DJ’s. DJ Sam Young. He’s an amazing cat with ridiculous style, who is crazy on the tables. Click the pic to check out his website. (Shouts to DJ Roy Rovelli)

Haiti Aftermath…

On March 5th of this year, I got together with ‘School of the Hellas’ and ‘IzaTrend’ to hold a fundraiser for the Rural Haiti Project. The event was in San Francisco at Element Lounge… Here are a few pics from the event, all photographed by the lovely Ashleigh Reddy.

Freaknik Came and Went.

Freaknik as some of us may remember, was the massive party held in ATL during spring break at which students from all the black universities were in attendance. Now, Freaknik has a different meaning to those of us tuned into Adult Swim on the night of March 7th. Freakink was “resurected” in the 1 hour cartoon special ‘Freaknik: The Musical’ staring the voices of T-Pain, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, DJ Drama, Lil Jon, and many, many more. You can check it out here. But hurry, it expires on March 23rd 2010.

Daft Tron

Just as any self-respecting nerd has been doing over the last few days, I too have been trying to dig up as much info as possible about the new ‘Tron Legacy’. Disney’s sequel is set to release Dec. 17th 2010, but even in all its young-Jeff Bridges, and ‘Kid-that-got-shot-up-in-4-Brothers‘ (Garrett Hedlund), disk dodging, light-cycling glory, what I’m the most anxious for is the soundtrack. Produced entirely of brand spanking new Daft Punk tracks, (one of which can be heard in the second half of the new trailer available on http://www.apple.com/trailers). The soundtrack will bring an audience of music lovers in for the film that may not have been enticed otherwise. Not to mention the duo will actually be appearing IN the movie. (Kudos)

Sleepless in Las Vegas

Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas

A vacation is something that anyone in the entertainment line of work is lucky to get.  Some of us grind so hard, 20 minutes away from our cell phones is a vacation.  Then there are others who will “eventually get a day to myself… That’s gon’ be the day they burry me, but it’ll come eventually” – Lil Wayne.  I however understand the importance of staying hard at work, but I can never say no to a long weekend in Vegas.  So when my good friend Marqus Crawford offered me a deal on a villa in the Planet Hollywood towers, I obviously said yes.

Above are a few shots of the Villa we will be occupying during our stay.  While I’m alongside Jade Davis, Erik Woodruff, and Marqus, I will be giving you a play by play on the action, activities, and adventures that go down from the 1st to the 4th of April.

You down with A.P.P.?

His work can be viewed here.

Yeah, you know me… But who you may not know is the man behind some of the moving photo effects on djstorm.com, and on the visualizations for the mixes I post on youtube.  Visual effects artist Adam Patton has a long and impressive resume that grows by the second.  (Sorry A.P… I tried to say that without sounding gay)  Having worked with many people, including (but definitely not limited to) League 510, BeatStreetS, (and yours truly DJ Storm), on web design, music videos, and a slew of other digital projects, A.P.P. is someone you should be down with when working in the realm of digital media.
