Lamborghini unveiled its Lanzador concept car at Monterey Car Week, previewing the brand’s fourth model set for 2028. This vehicle aligns with Lamborghini’s Direzione Cor Tauri strategy, focusing on decarbonization and electrification. The Lanzador is a Gran Turismo 2+2 concept that combines a futuristic, rebellious design with Lamborghini’s signature sportiness. Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini’s Chairman and CEO, described it as the start of a new Ultra GT segment, promising a unique driving experience through innovative technologies.

The Lanzador features dual electric motors for all-wheel drive, providing over one megawatt of peak power and ensuring efficiency across various driving conditions and surfaces. Drivers can customize the car’s behavior via controls on the sports steering wheel, creating personalized driving profiles. The Lanzador also introduces an advanced version of Lamborghini’s Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI) control system, which allows for extensive customization and sets a new standard for both concept and future production cars.

The Lanzador’s interior embodies a futuristic design, emphasizing Lamborghini’s “Feel like a pilot” philosophy. It features an ergonomic layout with a slim control panel that allows real-time modifications to the car’s performance. Sustainable materials like merino wool and regenerated carbon fiber are used, alongside 3D-printed recycled fibers in non-visible elements like seat foam, showcasing Lamborghini’s commitment to reducing environmental impact while maintaining luxury. The Lanzador is a key step in Lamborghini’s strategy to electrify its lineup and reduce CO2 emissions, balancing performance, advanced technology, and exclusive design as it leads in the luxury automotive sector.
