The Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 5 Encore costs $3,725. It can be wall-mounted as is, or used with the table stand or floor stand, both available as optional extras.

Paranormal Activity 3.

When a farmer milks a cow for too long, they get kicked off the milking stool… When Hollywood milks a movie for too long, you come up with sh*t like, ‘Fast And Furious 6′, ‘Final Destination 5′, ‘Spy Kids 4D’, and… ‘Paranormal Activity 3′.  However, after checking out the preview I was a little impressed by what they were trying to do, and connecting the 3 movies together.  I feel like if the studio stopped NOW, the entire single-camera-horror franchise may live longer in peoples minds as a good horror trilogy, instead of just going to hell… like the souls their main characters.

Behind The Scenes Double Feature. (Young Jeezy/Fabolous, Kendrick Lamar)

It seems like an ever growing trend for musicians to document the entire process behind the creation of their next big hit.  I’ve said it many a time, that I thoroughly enjoy watching the creative side, and knowing whatever background there is to the music I’m listening to, or the music videos I watch.  So I decided to put together a little double feature of two of the most interesting BTS video’s I’ve come across this month.  (And yes, I’m aware that this is the 1st day of the month.)

Loft 24-7.

Ideally, wouldn’t we all like to live in a climate where outdoor living is possible year-round? And wouldn’t we love to live in a space where the divide between indoors and outdoors is non-existent? São Paulo-based Fernanda Marques achieved this idealistic balance in her Loft 24-7 residence, presented at the CasaCor exhibition in São Paulo, Brazil.  In the 250-square-meter (about 2,700 square feet) space, Marques has erased the barriers by using “outdoor” elements inside and “indoor” elements outside and creating easy visual links between the two. Limestone, rough stone, steel, glass, wood paneling and furnishings that speak to the architect’s modernist style, all create a harmonious, seamless environment where you are never quite in and never quite out.  Fernanda Marques is the chief architect at Fernanda Marques Arquitetos Associados that is involved in both residential and commercial architecture, interior design, furniture design and real estate.

BMW i3 and i8 Concepts.

BMW has given out the first details and images of its i3 and i8 models before the concepts are shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show.  One of the most notable features of the new design is a bodywork largely made of carbon fibre, described by BMW as a “revolution in automotive design.”  The new material, which has never been used for a car body on a volume-production scale before, offers a weight reduction of between 250 and 350 kilograms, which should considerably lengthen the range and speed of the electric vehicles.  The i3′s concept city car design currently offers a range of approximately 150 kilometers using a 125 kW electric motor, said BMW, with four seats and a 200-liter luggage compartment.  Thanks to a weight of 1,250 kilograms, it can manage 0-100km/h in less than eight seconds, and the charging time is also pretty nippy, with an 80 percent charge in around an hour using a high speed charger.  The larger i8 isn’t a fully electric vehicle but a plug-in hybrid, managing a consumption of under 3l/100km with a drive system that outputs 260 kW.  Designed as a luxury sports car, it offers a top speed of 250 km/h and a 0-100km/h time of under five seconds, although at a more temperate speed the i8 will run for up to 35 kilometers on all electric drive before the hybrid system kicks in.  It’s expected that both of the cars will be on show at the Frankfurt International Auto Show, which runs September 15-25 in Germany.

DJ Storm – Gucci Gucci x Haters Mashup.

The newest sensation out of the Bay is making some pretty huge waves in the music community.  Kreayshawn has had her track ‘Gucci Gucci’ all over the radio, and in Entourage (my favorite show ever) and even got Weezy to spit over the beat.  So with the song gathering so much speed so quickly, it’s no surprise that producers and DJ’s have been throwing out remixes.  However, none of those other remixes are from me…. So I decided to jump on the bandwagon and take a crack at it.  The result is what some people have described as “better than the original”, but I don’t wanna take it that far.  I will say however that this is one of the funnest projects I’ve worked on all year.  Check the method below, and click the picture above to download the track.

Drake – Headlines.

The hype, buzz, speculation and anticipation for Drizzy Drake’s sophomore album has been growing as the days of summer pass.  Finally today I got a listen to his first single off the album entitled “Headlines”.  It’s a slower, more soulful track, where Drake addresses some of the things he’s heard in the time between ‘Thank Me Later’ and ‘Take Care’, and his own interpretation of his position in his career.  I personally found a lot of the points he made very interesting and introspective… but we all know most women will just listen to the sound of his voice.  But click the pic above to hear “Headlines”.

The Top 100 Movie Insults of All Time.

Insults have been around for as long as any human language, (and possibly even a bit before that.)  But classic insults in movie are especially memorable because you can hear them over and over and over, and the person getting insulted always has the exact same reaction.  Harry Hanharan meticulously put together this brilliant list of some of the best.  Check the method. (And I’m not exactly sure why I chose that photo of Charlie Sheen to represent the list… But it just seem comically appropriate.)
