What do you get when you mix ‘The Lego Movie’ and a bio-pic of Pharrell Williams from the Neptunes? This. Literally THIS is what you get. With the success of ‘The Lego Movie’ and the follow up ‘Lego Batman Movie’, people figured that another Lego feature film would be in the works, but this came out of left field. The story of Pharrell’s upbringing, steady and unwavering rise to success, tribulations, trials and triumphs of this spectacularly unique musical and artistic force couldn’t be capture in any more of a unique style.
Also… this is yet ANOTHER movie trailer featuring the song “Happy”, which just shows that no matter what religion, race, gender, age, or shoe size, EVERYONE loved that damn song, and if you don’t its probably because it’s been played 1 trillion times (at time of writing). Seeing people in “lego form” is always kind of interesting, but some of the faces dont line up with the characters to be distinct… although however, there are only so many things you can do with a Lego man. The movie will feature new music, which I’m sure everyone will be over the moon about, and the voice cast is as sick as the music from those artists themselves.
