Recalling the classic conversations about ‘nothing’ at Monk’s Cafe on the Upper West Side, Jerry Seinfeldnow applies this formula to a relatively new web series: Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. As the title might infer, the comedy legend invites other iconic funnymen to a cup of joe in his favorite coffee shops, also recounting their life experiences over the roar of some pretty impressive automobiles. In the latest episode, Seinfeld pairs up with Chris Rock to talk about childhood, law enforcement, and even skateboarding, amongst other things. This hilarious installment, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee’s, has may episodes with other comedians like David Letterman, Sarah Silverman, and Larry David and more to come.

American industrial designer, artist, and motorcycle engineer Ian Barry fascinates motorsport enthusiasts with his super-sleek, monster mechanics fused with exquisite artistry and workmanship. He is best known for the synthesis of sensual, rounded lines with chunky, robust metallic hardware. Historically and culturally influenced, Barry collects rare motorcycle engines of famed British beauties. Using the engine as both a creative influence and a structural framework, he has developed a practice of designing, engineering, and manufacturing each entire vehicle from scratch. Together with partner Amaryllis Knight, he co-founded Los Angeles’s Falcon Motorcycles and has since been working on the falcon series, a collection of 10 completely unique designs which have been refurbished from pieces of vintage finds. Four of ten falcons have been completed, and each high-end mammoth creation is as enticing and extravagant as its predecessor.

Jay Z’s Performance Art Film Preview for Picasso Baby

Having spent six hours filming in a Manhattan art gallery, Jay Z’s performance art film for “Picasso Baby” is set to premiere Friday August 2. As a first look at what’s to come, released was a 30 second trailer that gave a peek at the unconventional video, which is said to go beyond the realms of a music video and lean more so towards the territory of a short cinematic film. Citing his interpretation of concerts and performances as a form of performance art, the trailer provides a peek at the art space and fan enthusiasm that compose the film. Look for the debut on HBO on August 2.

The Fish House

Guz Architects have created a tropical bungalow perfect for it’s location in Singapore called The Fish House. The modern home is designed to encourage natural ventilation, to do this the team of architects set out to create large open spaces, and glass walls that open up into functional outdoor activity areas. Guz explained that their main goal was to create a home with seamless integration of the surrounding nature. This was accomplished through the pond-like pool and by creating great views of the water and vegetation.

“Squishy” Chairs by Annie Evelyn

Annie Evelyn is a furniture designer who has been developing her unusual furniture upholstery techniques since she was a student. This collection of chairs, named “Squishy”, has been designed for Brooklyn-based company New Colony Furniture. Other Evelyn’s works in her portfolio display a sense of humor about seating, with an “impolite chair” boasting a built-in whoopee cushion, and a piece entitled “Sit on My Finger” that’s a tiny chair you wear as a ring. Evelyn reclaims wooden chair frames, lines the seats and backs with foam, and painstakingly covers these surfaces with small pieces of hard materials that give way when pressure is applied. With this technique, she’s able to make cracked cement, tiles and faceted pieces of wood into exceptionally comfortable seating surfaces. Instead of poking you, those sticks will cradle the curves of your body.

From Goldilocks to Rapunzel passing by the classic Cinderella, Brian Cummings reviewed most of the fairy tales to recreate them in a modern and trashy version. This photographer and director from Saint Louis, MO, made Snow White get a tattoo, Cinderella get drunk and Rapunzel cut her hair. This mix between Spring Breakers and Disney was edited with an amazing technique and a lot of talent.

Dark Knight crazy fans with $2 million hanging around, make their friends jealous by installing this high-tech Batman-inspired screening room in their homes. It features a Bat-mobile hidden behind bookshelves, life-size Bat-suits and much more. It is currently being built into a 12,000 sq. ft. home in Greenwich, Conn. The room includes a 180-inch movie screen, a series of accessories inspired by the film like gargoyles and a cylinder-shaped elevator, that touts the bat symbol.

Hong Yi Plays with her Food

Almost every day for one month, Malaysian artist/architect Hong Yi created a fun illustration made with food. Her parameters were simple: the image had to be comprised entirely of food and the only backdrop could be a white plate. With that in mind Yi set out to create landscapes, animals, homages to pop culture, and even a multi-frame telling of the three little pigs.

The World’s Fastest Lawn Mower Honda HF2620

Honda UK has teamed up with British touring car championship partner, Team Dynamics, to create the world’s fastest lawn mower. The re-engineered Honda HF2620 lawn tractor is conceived from the ground-up with an all-new fabricated chassis, outfitted with a 1000cc engine from a honda VTR firestorm that produces 109 horsepower. With this, the grass trimmer can reach 0-100km/h (0-62 mph) in just four seconds, with a top speed of 208km/h (130mph). the garden toy is supplemented with a custom-made paddle shift six-speed gearbox, paired with a custom-made cobra sports seat, a scorpion exhaust system and a morris minor steering rack. Along with a bespoke suspension and wheels from an ATV, the “mean mower” still can – thanks to two electric motors on the cutter deck – mow the lawn at around 24km/h (15mph) with spinning 3mm steel cutting cable at 4000rpm.

Baitogogo by Henrique Oliveira

Brazilian artist Henrique Oliveira’s striking new installation “Baitogogo” has now opened at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. The complex “network of organic materials” sees existing concrete and plaster pillars transform midway into contorted and intertwining organic material reminiscent of the Amazon rainforest. The piece is typical of Oliveira’s work, which often uses materials from the Brazilian urban landscape such as wood taken from fences surrounding and blocking access to construction sites. Through these materials, Oliveria aims to highlight the organic growth of São Paulo’s favelas as well as the “endemic and parasitic nature of these constructions.” Inspiration is also drawn from medical textbooks and studies of physical pathologies such as tumors.
