The stunning American actress Christian Marie Serratos was born on September 21, 1990. The 23 year old, is best known for her roles in the “Twilight Saga” as Angela Weber as well as Rosita Espinosa in season 4 of one of my favorite shows “The Walking Dead”, first appearing at the end of the 10th episode, “Inmates”. Born in the Pasadena, California and raised in Los Angeles, beautiful Christian is of Mexican, Italian and Irish descent.
Serrastos’ role in Twilight won her the “Young Supporting Actress” award in the Best Performance in a Feature Film category at the 30th Young Artist Awards. Serratos reprised the role in Twilight’s sequels The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. In 2011, she appeared in The Black Keys video for their song “Howlin’ for You”. And she ranked, well deserved, at number 65 on Maxim’s “Hot 100” list in 2010.
Google Glass is one of the most ambitious concept-to-reality projects we’ve seen in quite some time but the glasses were far from stylish. The brand is looking to tackle this task next as they unveil the Google Glass Titanium Eyewear Collection. There are four new frame shapes, and all of them will work with prescription lenses. To ensure they were offering something that style-conscious consumers would wear, Google teamed up with Maui Jim for the three sunglass options. All of the new styles utilize second generation Google Glass hardware, which means they are all equipped with the mono earbud.
EXOvault represents their first eyeglass design – EXOvault Kingsland Eyeglass Frames. Machined from solid aluminum they are absolutely unique and beautiful. We have been testing the glasses for a month and have found that they draw a bit of attention. If you don’t like being noticed and admired these are not for you! Scheduled to make their official debut at the opening of the new moncler flagship store in Paris on september 26th, the ‘lunettes sunglasses collection’ by artist Pharrell Williams features three different frames made from single pieces of titanium. Each pair incorporates design similarities from the french luxury brand in different aesthetic approaches; from steampunk influences, space frames and clean traditional lines.
These incredible shades work wonders for privacy. Especially overly curious girlfriends, or snoopin brothers and sisters in your house. The trick itself is in the screen, which appears blank until you see them from behind the Reassemble Glasses. Just don’t think it’s odd if people see you staring at a blank screen.
Introducing the Spring/Summer 2012 Mayfourteenth Eyewear collection. The 2012 frames were inspired by the tranquility of island life and wanderlust, and draw from elements resemblant to the striking patterns and colors of the beaches and jungles of coastal South America.
The new campaign was photographed by Dustin Aksland at his Manhattan studio and inspired by Ishla Grande and the coastal bungalows of Angra Dos Reis, Brazil.
The new collection uses a contrasting color palette of chocolate browns and carmel yellows inspired by the delicious torte and dulce de leche from the Villa do Abrao desert carts, mixed with moody blues and crystals reminiscent of the sun beaming off of the islands clear waters. Subtle tortoise and jaguar markings continue the theme of deviated patterns from nature.
Continuing with the theme of contemporary classic, Mayfourteenth’s delivery focuses both on texture and form. Thicker, bigger, and bolder frames all wearable from summer through autumn. Mayfourteenth Eyewear is handmade using vintage Mazzucchelli acetate and fitted with optical quality CR-39 lens. Made with careful hands and designed with sophisticated style.
This classic aviator shape is given a modern militaristic feel through several well structured details, blending steal, leather, and acetate into a single standout frame. The Cisco has side shields with luxury leather detailing to help keep out the sun or wind, luxury leather detailing at the bridge, and grated metal detailing at the temples. While this may seem quite complex, it is actually quite simple on the face, the mark of great execution. It presents just the right balance of hard versus soft elements and simplicity in the overall shape, to create a technical but very wearable frame which works well on most faces.

Viewing 3D cinema is a truly gripping experience but for the 3D glasses. Besides being heavy and awkward for those already wearing numbered glasses, they are a material waste and pose a health hazard. Stix offers an easy solution by being a pair of self-adhesive sticker 3D viewing films. Simply slap them onto your current numbered glasses and enjoy your 3D movie.
The stickers are cut out a shape bigger than average glasses to ensure they cover till the rim. The concept’s approach resonates with me, since I wear glasses too and find wearing additional glasses a hassle. Hopefully the sticker in Stix will be easy to peel off and then we are assured of a winner here.
The existence of Google X was first disclosed late last year and reports that the researchers there were exploring augmented reality surfaced in February. This is the first time Google has officially acknowledged this particular project. Writing for the New York Times, Nick Bilton notes that Babak Parviz is known for creating contact lenses embedded with electronics, which suggests that Google’s augmented reality might be available in a form factor smaller than sunglasses at some point.
Google has posted a video on YouTube that explores how the glasses might work. The scenes shown are not actual production footage of the glasses in the field. They’re augmented with post-production graphics that show how Project Glass might work. But the video conveys what Google hopes to achieve: a seamless experience where the technology enhances activities and doesn’t interfere with them. The future you’ve seen in movies over the last decade is starting to get closer.
3D is seems to be the new fad in cellphones, but price point and compatibility issues make them less desirable at the moment. Catering to this genre is the Cobble 3-D concept; it features a 4-inch 3D 16:9 HD screen giving the device more depth sans the awkward 3D glasses. The adaptive camera tracker follows your finger and anticipates your move on the screen, making the touchscreen experience smooth as silk. The Cobble takes stunning pictures thanks to the motion scroll, which adjusts the zoom and takes realistic snaps. The multiple color-back options are sick as well.
Karl Lagerfeld has collaborated with Orrefors, the Swedish glass makers to create a collection of crystal including bowls, vases; wine, water and liqueur glasses and, naturally, champagne flutes. The Orrefors brand is known for gracing the tables at the Swedish Royal Palace.
The glasses are hand-blown and Lagerfeld’s line will come in black, milky white and clear crystal, some engraved with the designer’s initials. The series also includes monogrammed coasters “to prevent any trace of an errant drop on an immaculate tablecloth,” the makers say. The Orrefors by Karl Lagerfeld collection will be available from September 1 in Harrods, and Bloomingdales in the US from October 1.
Leonardo da Vinci once said: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”, and architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe adopted the motto “Less is more” to describe his extreme simplicity, by enlisting every element and detail to serve multiple visual and functional purposes (such as designing a floor to also serve as the radiator, or a massive fireplace to also house the bathroom).
Even after 500 years Leonardo’s words are true and this rule is still widely used in design and advertising. It may sound a bit contradictory, but simple things often require much more brain power to create than the most complicated stuff. And it always strikes you when something completely simple is capable of conveying so much more than you expect.
The House of Gucci has come out with a new collection of “heritage” aviator sunglasses. The sunglasses come with a special edition leather case and carrying pouch and the case has a wide signature stripe while the pouch has a matching strap.
