I’ve always loved candid videos of people doing ridiculous things, but now that Pokemon Go is out, the videos are coming hard and fast.  Pokemon Go, as you might have heard is an augmented reality game on Android and iPhone. The game was released on July 6th and has become an overnight success. Now, there are more people playing this game than the total number of active users on Twitter.  Like the rest of the world, Salomondrin has caught the Pokemon Go bug too. So, he went Pokemon hunting in his Porsche 918 supercar.

Mario’s Getting a Mercedes

If you’ve ever played a Super Mario game, you’re going to love the new Japanese commercial for the Mercedes-Benz GLA SUV.  In it, an 8-bit Mario smashes blocks, collects coins, and runs over baddies in a pixelated Benz. When he wraps up the level, the NES game turns live-action, and a tough looking Mario in Batman-esque armor emerges from the SUV.  Besides being a fun ad, it marks a notable shift for both Nintendo and Mercedes-Benz.  It’s the first example of Nintendo licensing its intellectual property after its president Satoru Iwata announced the company would move in this direction as it struggles to profit from games on its Wii U console, Bloomberg reports. The GLA will also be the first real-life car available in the upcoming “Mario Kart 8.”

The Largest Game Of Tetris In History?

Drexel University professor Frank Lee took over the side of the 29-story Cira Centre in Philadelphia last year to play a gigantic game of Pong, setting the Guinness World Record for the “Largest Architectural Video Game Display.” Last night he doubled the record with a massive game of Tetris.  Controlled by joysticks conneted to the building’s LED lights via 4G wireless, this particular Tetris game was a competitive affair, with two teams playing on the north and south sides of the building. When one team cleared a row, the other team would get more blocks dropped on their play-field. Trash-talking was kept to a minimum, as the teams were a mile away from each other.

Shot Glass Roulette Drinking Game

Shot-Glass-Roulette

Liven up that boring party by adding booze to the mix with this Shot Glass Roulette drinking game. The game’s rules are quite simple. Every shot glass has 2 numbers and a color on it. Place your bets (using your glass), and if the ball stops on your number and color – bottoms up. The creators of the game opted for 3/4 ounce shot glasses, probably to keep people from getting drunk too quickly.

The Walking Dead Monopoly Set

The-Walking-Dead-Monopoly-1

AMC finally gets a gift we already knew was coming – an official Walking Dead Monopoly set. After seeing all of the prototype boards over the years, Hasbro has finally decided to release an officially licensed version. While the rules are pretty much the same in this zombie version of the popular game we all know and love, players will now play for resources that will save your life, as oppose to making you rich in the standard version. There are six different collectible tokens to choose from including Michonne’s katana, Rick’s Hat, RV, Lucille (bat), a bucket of body parts, and a telephone symbolizing Rick’s meltdown during season 3 of the show.
