They say that Tom Cruise runs as fast as he can in every film he does, (heck he’s even said it on Twitter)… but boy is he running more than a muck in the first trailer for what seems to be the final Mission Impossible entry to the franchise. Ethan Hunt was left on somewhat of a cliff hanger in the last film, which had the subtitle “Part 1”, and although he has stated publicly that he would love to put out “M:I” films until he can’t anymore, there is no “Part 2” at the end of this, leading us to believe that they MAY have had a “Part 3” in the sketch pad.
However, while postulation may be prancing around, the primary point (and the most pertinent part of plot) is that all these films tie together more than people may have previously presumed. There is a very specific scene from the first film that somehow has made its way into this new trailer proving its relevance. But we’ll shut up, and just let you watch the magic.
