5. Game Of Thrones: House Of The Dragon

I (can’t say who) but am the only writer on staff who hasn’t seen ‘Game of Thrones’, so I’ll probably get hit with a preverbal brick for this opinion, but this comes up at #5. This trailer seems to keep the focus on the larger spectacle that people grew over time to love with the original series that started off with more story than… dragons. But this trailer seems to have a much larger scale predicament at hand, which we’re sure true, die-hard fans will appreciate as much as the original series.

4. Damaged

This one is particularly interesting looking. Denzel appears to be more of a detective than just a hard boiled mother-f*cker screaming “mother-f*cker” out of rage. Deep detective stories generally can only be watched once, and when the twists and turns are over, the story loses its luster and appeal. But ‘Damaged’ appears to be likely for a re-watch from any and all folks at the films finish.

3. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

This one looks a tad different from the last Mad Max, aside being “chock-a-block” with more CGI which we knew George Miller attempted to stay away from the last go around, this tale is a direct prequel from ‘Fury Road’. The original 3 films were the same main character embarking on 3 un-related journeys, yet this is a change from the non-status quo. Chris Hemsworth always reminds people of Thor because his role was so iconic, but in this he’s almost unrecognizable. It brings the question to the audience just how things got from bad, to worse, to whatever degree of awful ‘Fury Road’ was. (The situation, NOT the film itself). But check it. out and let us know what you think.

2. Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice

Seeing as though this film has Wednesday in it… (Jenna Ortega, not the day of the week), it seems the jump from ‘Adams Family’, now to ‘Beetlejuice’, means she must just love creepy stuff. The title doesn’t suggest anything original, and maybe the threequel will have the full chant… (we wonder what happens when you really do say it three times?) Anyway, seeing as aside from bringing back much of the original cast, it includes our female mega-crush of the male staff, Monica Bellucci. Although she’s not really given any time in the trailer, this one looks like it’ll be a big hit in the box office.

1. The Acolyte

This is Star Wars from a different, refreshing, interesting angle. This seems to be a new look at a classic, and judging from the time period, there are new/old skills and tricks that the Jedi (AND Sith) have up their sleeves. (Including the “throwing of the lightsaber” bit from some of the video games. As if that wasn’t enough Trinity from The Matrix is gunna be in it, so you know the fight scenes will be A-grade, and some people have yellow light sabers, thus leading long-time fans to insinuate that it seems to be the past. The style is a bit different, but styles change with time, and once again, the lightsaber pitching is sick AF, ‘Star Wars: The Acolyte’ debuts with two episodes as an attempt to get you hooked. In an age of light, a darkness rises. Check out our number one pick below.
