With the course correction from “Ghostbusters” (2016) to “Ghostbuster: Afterlife” a second resurrection attempt at the franchise was obviously in the pipes. There are some awesome new additions to the cast like Patton Oswalt and Kumail Nanjiani, and the story is seeming to go in a brand new direction with new villains, it’s not a re-tread of old territory. That being said, there are some returning goons to the screen like the original Slimer (we still don’t know what THAT other thing was) and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. With a brand new second look at this welcome sequel, ‘Frozen Empire’ looks to improve on its predecessor while healthily including the original cast.
