Earlier today, I was doing a little work for a P.R. company I’m interested in, when a welcome distraction came my way. The commercial above is for Internet Explorer 9, and is the usual Microsoft show off piece… with one major exception. The soundtrack for the commercial blew my mind for a second. I had no idea that the ad company behind this commercial would pick such a unique song for a project like that.
The song in question is titled “Too Close” by Alex Clare. Its an incredible infusion of unique drums, a country-ish bass, and in certain parts wild dubstep riffs possess the entire song, making it a mix unlike anything I’ve heard in quite some time. Check the official video for “Too Close” below
