The NOT Trailer For Black Adam!

As many people may already know, there still is no trailer for Dwayne Johnson’s passion project “Black Adam”, HOWEVER, thanks to DC’s Fandome exhibition, The Rock was able to display a featurette.  This movie has been in a years long fight through the workings of Hollywood, and now is finally wrapping up its production.  In a cross section of some of the scenes shown off you can hear them say Shazam’s name, and while we’re not entirely sure what exactly they have to do with one another, Its widely known that Black Adam is a Shazam villain. One of the Hodge brothers is in the film which is never a bad thing for any film, but now that we’ve gotten a peak at just a hair of a hind of the finished product, we’re sure this is just driving fans that can’t wait to see an actual first trailer… much less the finished film.

Rampage: World Tour: The Video Game: The Movie, With The Rock? What?

Dwayne Johnson announced that the teaser trailer for Rampage would be with us today, and as promised, you can get your first look at some footage from the upcoming video game adaptation below.  The movie will be an adaptation of the classic arcade game, which focuses on three animals (a wolf, a crocodile and a gorilla) who fall victim to evil genetic editing, rapidly changing every strand of their DNA so they grow, evolve and mutate.  Johnson’s character is charged with tracking them down, but the gorilla just so happens to be a friend of his named George.  I really want to be excited about this movie, but it just look like San Andreas mixed with the new Jumanji and a splish-splash of Negan.  But let us know what you think by leaving a comment.

Some New Summer Movies For You.

New isn’t exactly the most appropriate word to describe these next films, all of which are franchises that have banked big bucks in summers past, and are making waves once again with new splashes in the box office. Weather your familiar with all the titles in each franchise or your new to some of the films, all of these titles are sure to have ads all over the place in months.

Fast Five

Now I KNOW what most people are thinking when they see this, that the ‘Fast and the Furious’ franchise should have stopped trying years ago. Or that if it weren’t for the 4th and most recent installment in the series, no one would care about the rag-tag team of street racing criminals. Which is all probably true, but since seeing the trailer for the newest movie in the line up, I’ve noticed that when the focus is on a heist and not on CG cars doing impossible stunts, the movies appeal increases 10 fold. I was also disappointed when I heard The Rock was a part of the film, but actually seeing him in action quelled my fears. Check the method below.

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead a reunion of returning all-stars from every chapter of the explosive franchise built on speed in Fast Five. In this installment, former cop Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) partners with ex-con Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) on the opposite side of the law. Dwayne Johnson joins returning favorites Jordana Brewster, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Matt Schulze, Tego Calderon and Don Omar for this ultimate high-stakes race. Since Brian and Mia Toretto (Brewster) broke Dom out of custody, they’ve blown across many borders to elude authorities. Now backed into a corner in Rio de Janeiro, they must pull one last job in order to gain their freedom. As they assemble their elite team of top racers, the unlikely allies know their only shot of getting out for good means confronting the corrupt businessman who wants them dead. But he’s not the only one on their tail. Hard-nosed federal agent Luke Hobbs (Johnson) never misses his target. When he is assigned to track down Dom and Brian, he and his strike team launch an all-out assault to capture them. But as his men tear through Brazil, Hobbs learns he can’t separate the good guys from the bad. Now, he must rely on his instincts to corner his prey…before someone else runs them down first.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

This fourth installment of the Pirates franchise boasts a new crew villain, (who just reminds me of Shamus from family guy), a love interest for Jack Sparrow, and a new quest without the old weight of some of the main characters of the old movies.  From what I’ve heard, the writing on this movie frees the story up to go to new places, and in new directions by “forgetting” some of the past, and simply focusing on this new adventure.  I’m anxious to see how high this movie rates on the box office lists come summer.  Bring rum.

Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) finds himself on an unexpected journey to the fabled Fountain of Youth when a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz) forces him aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane).

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon

Although the title kinda reminds me of a twilight spin off, I’m still very curious to see what this movie makes of the franchise.  After hearing Michael Bay give himself some harsh constructive criticism in an interview about “Revenge of the Fallen” (the sequel) I’m a bit more confident that he can handle this movie and have it be more successful than the second, and maybe even the original Transformers movie.  There are tons of rumors in circulation about why Megan Fox got cut from the movie, but I do think if it’s explained the correct way, and people can move past it, the new love interest will end up helping the movie instead of hurting it (as some people have speculated).  But in true Michael Bay fashion, he’s trying to keep it a secret so there is no synopsis for the movie, never the less, also in true Michael Bay fashion, we all know there will be about 20 million dollars worth of explosions. I Just HAD To Put These Up.

So, I’m sure I’ve preached over and over again about the my veracious nerd-ism.  I’m just the type of person that loves to laugh, and I have the ability to find some of the dumbest things on earth very hilarious.  That being said, I have to apologise if any of this stuff is way too corny for you.  I’ve come across some “Comixed” shorts every so often and laughed to myself, but when I was chilling with Duckworth of Tokyo 24, we laughed so hard at some of these short strips that I knew I had to share some of them.  And once again, you probably won’t find it too funny, but I think these are too good.
