Oceans 11 Is Getting The Ghostbusters Treatment.

The first trailer for Oceans 8 has officially debuted, giving us our first look at the sequel/spin-off of Steven Soderbergh’s Oceans trilogy.  The story sees Danny Ocean’s sister Debbie (Sandra Bullock) released from prison, only to return to a life of crime by assembling her own team – which includes Thor Ragnarok’s Cate Blanchett and The Dark Knight  Rises’ Anne Hathaway – to steal a priceless necklace from New York City’s annual Met Gala.

Rihanna- Needed Me

Rihanna drops yet another killer video. Still sizzling off last month’s hot and steamy “Kiss It Better” clip, RiRi gets armed and dangerous in the video for her latest Anti single, the DJ Mustard-produced “Needed Me.”

The visuals match the slapper’s strong message of independence. “Didn’t they tell you that I was a savage?” Rihanna confidently asks. “Fuck ya white horse and ya carriage.”

Meanwhile, RiRi struts in all her confident glory, draped in see-through lingerie with a gun in her hand. She slays her way through the clip, riding motorcycles through streets and making her way through a strip club where she finally comes face to face with her target before leaving him in a pool of blood.

Looks can kill in this thrilling video, showing Rihanna is not to be messed with. Watch the lethal clip below.

Rihanna ‘Kiss it Better’

Craig McDean, the director behind Rihanna’s NSFW video for ‘Kiss It Better’, has spoken about the artistic influences behind the video.

McDean is a photographer and filmmaker, who has previously shot Rihanna for magazines such as T and Vogue. In a new interview with The Fader, he opens up about the process of making the ‘Kiss It Better’ video and the leftfield ideas he and creative partner Masha Vayukova had for the clip.

The T cover film was shot in 45 minutes with one light, and a handheld camera. ‘Kiss it Better’ was shot in L.A. four months later over a very long night,” McDean is quoted as saying. “That said, the music video was based off some of the same ideas, which come from surrealism and dadaism. It all comes from you as a person, your inner inspiration and ideas you’ve had inside for a lifetime.”

McDean also spoke about the prominent use of dice in the video, saying: “Me and Masha watch the same kind of films, we look at a lot of books and art and it all merges together on the set, which is a great playground for visual experiments. Sometimes it’s all about combining things that might not make any sense, [like] subconsciousness and dreams. Dice is such a graphic and surrealistic object so it came into play.”

In the first half of the video, directed by Director X, Rihanna “works” her hips as hard as her vocals, grinding on the rapper amidst a dimly lit party.  But when the party ends, another video starts. The second half, helmed by Tim Erem, features just Rihanna and Drake in a pink-lit room. Check the method below.

B*tch Betta Have My Money (Official Video).

Take a deep breath and savor the moment. We’re going to have a very short time before the parents’ groups of the world start loudly freaking the fuck out over Rihanna’s new video for “Bitch Better Have My Money,” so we need to appreciate every moment that that isn’t happening. Rihanna shared a preview of the video a few days ago, promising nudity and language and violence. She wasn’t kidding. The clip features Rihanna and a couple of friends kidnapping a rich lady and holding her for ransom, and it ends with a naked Rihanna, covered in blood, smoking weed while sitting in a trunk full of cash. The actors Mads Mikkelsen and Eric Roberts appear in the video, and there is an actual story arc. But all that is secondary to the sheer bold imagery of Rihanna, lounging in a blow-up pool on the deck of an oil tanker, firing an uzi off into nothingness, or getting her hostage high while throwing money up in the air in a hotel room somewhere. It’s a hell of a video, and Rihanna co-directed it with Megaforce. Watch it below.

Rihanna- ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’ – Extended Trailer

At last nights BET Awards, Rihanna premiered the trailer for her latest single ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’. The pop icon closed out the show by premiering a one-minute-and-47-second clip of the long-awaited video for “Bitch Better Have My Money,” which she co-directed with Megaforce. RiRi gets gangsta and kidnaps a rich white lady in the elevator, but you’ll have to wait to see the rest when the full video premieres Thursday on Vevo.

“I heard from the grapevine that it’s kinda epic,” said “BBHMM” producer Deputy. “It’s pretty extensive and crazy.”

Rihanna – What Now

Rihanna premieres the music video for “What Now,” the fifth single from her latest album, Unapologetic. Directed by Darren Craig, Jeff Nicholas and Jonathan Craven, in the short, shot in Phuket, Thailand, a goth-inspired Rihanna looks “demented” while singing in a dimmed room.

“It’s going to be kind of eerie, very creepy because ‘What Now’ is one of those songs that you can get really boring with the visual,” states Rihanna in the BTS. “Everybody is probably expecting a narrative video and a love story of some sort, and something really soft and pretty. It is kind of soft but it’s really a little demented.”

Forbes Highest Paid Electronic DJs of 2013

dj-turntables

Esteemed business magazine and infamous list makers Forbes have put together the 13 highest paid electronic music DJs of 2013, estimating their earning from live shows, endorsements, merchandise sales, recorded music sales, and external business ventures. While last year saw Tiesto top the list, bagging $22 million USD, this year sees Scottish producer Calvin Harris more than doubling that figure and netting a total of $46 million thanks to over 100 live shows at places like the Las Vegas megaclub Hakkasan (for which he received up to $200,000 per night). He also receives revenue from his songwriting work for megastars like Rihanna, meaning he ends up taking home even more money than the likes of Jay-Z and Katy Perry. How did he do it? “The rise of dance music has been astronomical in the last three years,” he tells Forbes. “I happened to be in the right place at the right time.”

Blending Iconic Faces From The Past And Present

MarcGhali1 MarcGhali2 MarcGhali3

Then and Now is a powerful collection of mash-ups by photographer and graphic designer Marc Ghali. In the series, the Canada-based photographer creatively blends old black and white photographs with sections of colorful, modern images. He perfectly arranges the new and old fragments so that, upon quick glance, viewers might believe they are looking at just one subject. However, each compilation features two faces representing the past and the present.

MarcGhali4

The subjects are often related in regards to professions, ranging from singers and actors to historical leaders. Some of the mash-ups include Rihanna and Diana Ross, Brad Pitt and James Dean, and two British princesses, Kate and Diana. It appears that Ghali really has an eye for matching faces as the many similarities are quite striking. The artist says, “I wanted to do something fun creatively. I was inspired by a series [by George Chamoun] called Iconatomy, and wanted to draw on parallels between influential figures pasts and present in an interpretative way.” It’s certainly fascinating to see how the world really hasn’t changed much across so many decades of time.

Rihanna – Stay ft. Mikky Ekko

Rihanna is filmed in a bathtub for the whole video and doesn’t even start singing along to the song until almost the end. She sports a half-shaven do and practically no makeup. It’s a change for Rihanna, who usually looks glamorous and is usually dancing up a storm in her videos. However, this video shows off Rihanna’s more mature and emotional side and helps her step out of her comfort zone.

2-cent Good Christmas was created as a Music Video Parody for the holidays back in 2010. But every year around christmas I can’t get enough of this. This parody makes fun of  Eminem, Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka, Rick Ross, Willow Smith, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Kanye West, Birdman, Nicki Minaj, Plies, Drake, Lil Wayne, Wyclef, and Lady Gaga.

Behind-the-Scenes of Rihanna’s GQ “Obsession of the Year”

Following snagging the cover of GQ and a set of sultry images that left little to the imagination, we’re now privy to behind-the-scenes footage from Rihanna’s spread dubbed “Obsession of the Year.” Set to her song “Diamonds,” the sexy editorial video features the songstress in various states of undress and styling that accentuates what makes her unique. The December issue of GQ featuring Rihanna is currently on newsstands now.

Chris Brown – I Don’t Like (Drake Diss).

Did you think the Chris Brown and Drake drama was finished? Of course it isn’t. Chris Brown hops on Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like,” and drops some lyrical darts at his fellow light-skinned antagonist. Although Breezy makes it clear that he has no problems at all with the other members of YMCMB, he makes it crystal clear his beef is with Drake and it is over Rihanna.

“A f-ck ni**a, that’s that sh-t I don’t like/They throwin’ bottles, I’m throwin’ models just ’cause I give a Itchbay long pipe,” raps Breezy. “I be singin’, he be singin’, so it’s on, fight/ But hold up, I ain’t give a ni**a no green light/ This head up, my bread up, one on one, what you scared, bruh?/ Matter fact, take care bruh, you a pu**y ni**a/ My ni**a Tunechi, yeah that ni**a nice/ Shout out to Nicki, man, that A$$ tight/ Them eyebrows, man, them sh-ts is yikes/ OVO, you overdosed, screamin’ YOLO no, I live twice.”

Rihanna Nude.

Rihanna isn’t known for covering up, so it’s no surprise that she dared to bare it all in new behind-the-scenes photos from a shoot for her upcoming fragrance, which is appropriately titled Nude.  The singer’s pal Melissa Forde posted the sexy pics on Instagram with the caption, “#Nude Behind the scenes for new fragrance photo shoot.” In the photos, Rihanna poses topless, donning a blond wig for several seductive photos.  Nude will be Rihanna’s third fragrance. She released Reb’l Fleur in spring 2011 and Rebelle in December.

Rihanna – Where Have You Been (Official Video/BTS)

“Remember the beginning of the “Black Or White” video, where Michael Jackson is dancing on the African veldt? Well, that’s pretty much Rihanna’s video for the Talk That Talk club-jam “Where Have You Been,” except that Rihanna’s video is (obviously) way, way sexier, and it sadly doesn’t feature an airborne George Wendt.

In the video, Riri plays some sort of desert warrior princess, and she looks extremely good, which is sort of the point of a video like this one.”  If that isn’t enough for you, take a look at the behind the scenes of “Where Have You Been,” the singer showcases some sick dance moves. Watch the singer’s rigourous routine courtesy of choreographer, Hi-Hat.

Drake ft. Rihanna – Take Care (Official Video).

Exclusive premiere of Drake‘s official music video “Take Care“, which features Rihanna. Fans have been waiting for this video to surface since the leak of the on the set photos of Drake and Rihanna holding each other. Take Care music video was directed by Yoann Lemoine.

Rihanna, Busta Rhymes & Reek Da Villain – Birthday Cake (Remix).

Since his Busta Rhymes merge into the YMCMB fold, he’s been putting out banger after banger.  His newest collab with Reek Da Villain is on the ever growing “Birthday Cake” track from Rihanna.  Considering how much of a stir the version with Chris Brown made, I’m not sure if this cut will be more refreshing to people’s ears, or if folks will stick to what’s already on the radio.

Rihanna’s Back On The Armani’s Campaign.

Rihanna has renewed her Armani contract for another season and the singer’s latest advert for the brand has just been released.  And the singer could not look any sexier… The advert begins with Rihanna tossing and turning in a pair of bra and knickers while lying on a bed. Then she puts on a skintight jeans and jacket and goes out to catch her flight.

Rihanna has been the face of Emporio Armani Jeans and Underwear since last July. Not only has she starred in commercials, but she also appeared in print ads and on billboards.  She has even done a spot of designing for the brand, releasing just two t-shirts, two pairs of jeans and a leather biker jacket last year.
