Sip and Sketch with Alice.

With graphite aquarelle pencils in hand, the mood was set to just chill this Sunday. Crafting simple compositions while squeaky teakettles sing sweet tunes in the background, that’s my kinda day. An average day in the land of art and design turned Alice-tea-time, courtesy of creator amandine_comte. Now, while most are used to her more intricate pieces, she decided to mix things up a bit. She went for something simple, and boy did it hit right. I mean, who wants to be wound up on a weekend, right?

Next up, you should know that the magic doesn’t happen on its own, nope. A little birdie told me that the faber-castellfrance pencils were the ammunition of the day, paired with schimoniart.brushes. An odd pair? Maybe. But they sure as hell make a mean team. We’ve all had our fair share of lazy Sundays, but putting those lazy hands to work? Now that’s a twist. A twist worthy enough to be sold out instantly, just like this piece. It’s always the simple things that really get to you, huh?

Talk about a lazy Sunday done right. A hot steaming cup of tea, Alice for company, and a simple sketch to let the creativity flow. The symphony of light strokes and vibrant colors took the blues right out of the graying day. All for the love of art and design, Alice decided to make some tea on a rather drab day. A simple composition that resonates with our love for tea and everything cozy. Who knew something so simple could be so beautiful?
