It’s with heavy hands that we have to write about this loss of one of Hip Hop’s most iconic voices. One of the greatest shame’s is that many people around the world have HEARD his work before, but never knew enough to associate the voice with the name. Isaac Freeman III collapsed at a concert Friday night (August 30th) while performing at Town Center Park in Hamden. He was taken to a hospital but did not survive. His booking agency confirmed his death, praising his influential role in hip hop and his contributions to popular songs like “Lose Control” by Missy Elliott and “Be Faithful.” Scoop was also known for his appearances on TV shows like Channel 4’s “Chancers” and “Celebrity Big Brother 16.” His tour manager and the Reminisce Festival, where Scoop was scheduled to perform, expressed deep sorrow over his passing, highlighting his significant impact and cherished presence in the music community.
