Over the years, RBMA has brought together artists for joint lectures on the couch. For their Festival New York in 2016, it was the turn of three beatmakers from hip hop’s biggest hit-making city of recent vintage: Atlanta. ATL favorite sons Metro Boomin, Sonny Digital and Zaytoven appeared at Red Bull Studios New York, discussing their early influences and breakout hits, the rise of trap and the producer drop, and their approach to sampling and collaboration. Their hits include work for Future, Drake, Migos, iLoveMakonnen and many, many more.
