According to 9to5Mac, code has been discovered inside of Apple’s latest iOS 7 beta that suggests the company may be planning to implement a high-speed camera capable of shooting video in slow motion. The iOS feature is reportedly codenamed “Mogul” and can capture video at 120 frames per second, meaning footage could be slowed down to almost a fifth of real-time while remaining detailed and smooth, although it is currently not known what resolution slow motion mode will be available at. The Samsung Galaxy S4 already offers a slow motion video capture mode, so it looks likely that Apple will be offering something to compete.
