#TeamHighGrade.

Ever since this blog started getting some serious views, I’ve had tons of people suggest different things for me to put up.  Some more viable than others, but when one of my model clients Anna Novikov suggested I take a look at the music group Team High Grade, I knew I had to put it up.  The team consists of N.I. and Escoe Perfecto (two members of a larger group known as Young Execs).  Escoe Perfecto was raised in Detroit, and in his teenage years, decided to use Hip Hop as an outlet.  N.I. however, was more influenced by West Coast Hip Hop and also takes some Dancehall and Reggae into his repertoire.  Check out their mixtape ‘The Machine’ right here, and their video “High Grade”, plus a fuller Bio under the video.

EscoePerfecto

As a young child, a smart mouth always got him popped by his mother, Escoe Perfecto was always excellent with his words and literary works. Raised on the East side of Detroit, he was always exposed to tough life, and consistently wrote of his turmoils and emotional troubles of his adolescence and teen years. At the age of 14 he ventured into the world of hip hop, as common as many boys his age he was with a young group of rappers who called themselves 4xl. From there he would hone his skills as a literary artist by learning from his peers and focusing on influences such as Lauren Hill, Jay Z, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Tupac, Outkast, and Cam’ron. As a avid fan and listener of these artist Escoe learned to create his own style, Embracing his human tendency to be a Contradiction he developed a pure sound and literary composition unlike any other artist ever heard. “This has nothing to do with money, I have a voice, and i feel like it belongs to the people”-Perfecto

N.I

Born to a Bermudian father and a mother from California, N.I’s music is influenced by both west coast(bay area)styles as well as Reggae and Dancehall. N.I showed and interest in music from a young age. At five playing Djembe drums with his father who is a prominent musician in Bermuda, recording his first mixtapes in high school with a popular group, Def Tone. After some time in reflection, N.I has resurfaced under the cutting edge label, Young Execs.
