There has been an odd phenomenon occurring in the movie advertising business recently. Certain movies have stopped advertising the director of the movie, and substituted this coveted slot with things like “Blah Blah Blah Presents” or “From the mind of:”. In the case of the film “Predators”, it was pumped up to give the impression that Robert Rodriguez directed it. (Which me and my boys came to find out AFTER we saw the movie.) But I don’t necessarily have a problem with this IF the movie ends up being good anyway, so when I saw the trailer for the new movie “Devil” (which is NOT directed by M. Night Shyamalan), I figured it looked so interesting that I’d go check it out regardless. Click the pic below to watch. Courtesy of Apple.com
