Laughter Is Contagious.

Its very true that laughter can be contagious.  As soon as your in a good mood, and someone else starts cracking up, you always tend to feel a smile start to creep over your face.  But in some cases just the way someone laughs can make a situation funny.   The new AT&T ads featuring fast phones in a situation full of slow ones (or vice versa) are clever and inventive, but every single time I see this ad in particular, I crack up.  Its not just that laughter thats contagious, its homeboy in particular that gets me going.  For whatever reason its that particular laugh is extra funny to me, and the cherry on top is his abrupt change in attitude after the rest of the occupants in the car all try to share the moment with him.  Its too much, check the method below.

My BlackBerry Is Not Working!

They say all good comedy has a modicum of truth to it, and there’s no denying that the jargon that’s built up around technology is littered with opportunity for mockery, fun-poking, and general satire.  My sister and I are both huge fans of British comedy and this video sparked my interest quickly.  Leave it to two old pros from the UK, then, Harry Enfield and Ronnie Corbett, to summarily dispatch Apple, BlackBerry, Orange, Microsoft and everyone in between in one of the better tech-related sketches we’ve seen. See them do their thing after the break, but be warned: the video contains more than your recommended daily allowance of fruit puns.

Diplo x BlackBerry

Diplo

It’s always great to see someone in your profession get some much deserved shine, so when I heard about Diplo’s BlackBerry commercial, I was waiting for it like a kid on christmas eve.  About a month had passed, and I had all but forgotten about it, and one night recently, sure enough, I was walking out of my house to head to a gig, and the “Love What You Do” commercial featuring Diplo came roaring on.  It’s a damn near inspiring commercial for someone in my line of work, so I wanted to share it.  Check the method below, and enjoy.

The name of the song at the end of the commercial is called “Make You Pop” by Diplo ft. Don Diablo

Whats In BlackBerry’s Playbook?

BlackBerry maker Research In Motion just announced its iPad rival at its developers conference in San Francisco.  The PlayBook is aimed at business customers, co-chief executive Michael Lazaridis said during a speech at the conference.  The device is 9.7 millimetres thick and features a seven-inch touch screen. That’s smaller than the iPad’s 9.7-inch display.  It can run both HTML 5 and Flash 10.1 and has a one gigahertz dual-core processor with one gigabyte of RAM (so I can actually see my own website on it).  BlackBerry smartphone users can pair their handset with the PlayBook using a Bluetooth connection to view their email, calendar, documents or other content.

The PlayBook also features front- and rear-facing cameras to support video conferencing and allows multi-tasking between programs.  The fact PlayBook users can route data through BlackBerry smartphones instead of paying for separate telecom service should prove a selling point in the business and personal markets.  RIM said that in the coming weeks it would release a software kit so third-party developers can begin tailoring applications, or “apps,” for PlayBook.  The tablet will be available in the U.S. in early 2011 and in other countries in the second quarter, RIM said. The company didn’t give a price for the device.
