Yanet Garcia is a weather presenter who over recent weeks has been gaining a few fans who are keen to watch her forecasts

Model and weather presenter Yanet Garcia has sent Mexico – and now the rest of the internet – into a frenzy.

It could be that she is just a fantastic meteorologist, but there’s a slim possibility it could be something else she has to offer.

Her good looks and figure-hugging dresses, always teemed with a pair of killer heels, are a hit with viewers.

Before she appears on Mexico’s Televisa Monterrey she often tweets a picture of her outfit to her 43,000 followers.

Android Wear

Rather than build the physical smartwatch itself, the folks at Google have decided to build software to help power the hardware. The search giant calls this new technology Android Wear. While it is applicable to more than just watches, the wrist watch will be the first target for the new software. Android Wear allows you to interact with your device in a meaningful way – traffic reports on the way to work, taxi cabs within the local area, weather when you wake up in the morning, and fitness tracking among other things. Of course normal smartphone functions like music player, text messages, email, and the likes will also be controlled through Android Wear devices, all by using either your voice or the touchscreen interface. Google has already revealed that they have teamed up with some of the biggest smartphone makers in the game on the first round of wearables – brands like HTC, Samsung, Motorola, LG and Asus.

Virgin Atlantic business and first class passengers (Upper Class passengers, as they’re called in Britain) flying from London Heathrow airport will be greeted by employees wearing Google Glass or a Sony SmartWatch 2. The wearable technology will be used to identify and greet passengers by name and provide the latest updates on their flight information, weather and local events at their destination. The airline also foresees potential for the technology to help deliver more personalized services such as identifying travelers’ food preferences. Virgin Atlantic is testing the program in a six-week pilot project before considering a wider roll-out.

Smart Mirror 2.0

From the kitchen to the bathroom or living room creative and useful furniture and home decor help us create a house to love. And it’s much more interesting than ordinary products make unordinary things. For example, designer Robert Grynkofki created the Mirror 2.0, which uses voice command, face and gesture recognition technology. Two LCD displays are placed behind a one-way mirror with a camera for face recognition, sensors for motion control and a microphone for voice control. To keep you entertained the mirror plays your music or movies, displaying your e-book or streaming the news. If that is not enough, it even communicates reminders or gives you updates on the weather; it can moderate the room temperature and dim the lights.
