With The Dark Knight Rises one of the most anticipated films of the summer, CraveOnline decided to make Batman the focus of their latest Movie Marathoners, tackling eight different Bat-films back to back. For those who have no idea what the hell ‘Batman Live’ is, its an all new theater production of Batman, that features a new story with all his classic villians. Will be worth your $200 for a ticket? Only time will tell, but what I heard yesterday is that the Dark Knight will be cruising the boards in a very plush ride. Indeed the Batmobile of Broadway (or more accurately of ‘Manchester’, from July onwards) is designed by the very man who designed the McLaren F1 road car and the Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren, on top of a number of F1 racing cars, Professor Gordon Murray. The same man that independently designed the Rocket, an ultra-lightweight, open cockpit roadster powered by a 1-litre motorcycle engine, which has an appearance similar to that of a 60’s era Grand Prix car.
Batman Live will tour arenas for the first time ever across the UK and Europe, beginning in summer 2011, and arriving in North America in August 2012. Opening in Manchester on 19 July 2011 and visiting Newcastle, Glasgow, Sheffield, Birmingham, London, Liverpool, Nottingham, Dublin and Belfast.

Kyle Myricks aka Stalley is self described “great American writer” from Massillon, Ohio. He left home to play Division 1 basketball in Michigan, injuring himself shortly after. That set back brought him to NY to play for Long Island University but a second injury derailed his athletic plans. He change his focus to music. In 2008, he connected with Ohio’s own, Terry Urban on the mixtape release “Goin Ape” as well as toured opening for Mos Def. His 2nd project MadStalley: The Autobiography brought attention to his transition from small time griot to rap star. He’s since worked with brands like Nike, ESPN, 10Deep and Mishka. Currently, Stalley has been working with Creative Control, the media collective associated with Dame Dash, DD172 and fellow rap artist Curren$y. His recent release titled Lincoln Way Nights (Intelligent Trunk Music), he carefully illustrates a typical night out on his popular hometown strip. He’s appeared on BET’s 106 and Park as a part of the Music Matters campaign and premiered his video for “SLAPP” on the countdown.
On Thursday the 17th, the Above Ground crew will be bringing Stalley to San Francisco to perform at 330 Ritch alongside Moe Green, Hopie, and Damey. Click the pic below to get your tickets before they sell out.

Tokyo 24 has been gracing stages all over the Bay with their presence for years now, but recently I was presented with the opportunity to join them on one their biggest shows to date. Tuesday, October 18th marks the date when yours truly, Miles Brandon, RGLND, and Tokyo 24 will take over Yoshi’s on 1330 Fillmore St. in San Francisco for an epic display of good people, great music, and a never before seen laser light show. Make sure come through and see the show. It’ll be one to remember.
Above Ground Productions, has been shining a light on some of the hottest emerging talent around bringing out Theophilius London, Casey Veggies, the homecoming show for Bay Area based Kreayshawn and now, they are bringing out Los Angeles based singer Jhene Aiko. Aiko, has been making a name for herself for years working with then, mega boy group B2K with the label TUG, and releasing her debut single “No L.O.V.E.” However, Aiko finally received notoriety with the release of her March release, Sailing Soul(s). The project shined a light on Aiko as a writer, and vocalist, singing songs that everyone could relate to at one more or another regardless of gender.
With that being said, Above Ground is bringing Aiko to San Francisco for her first show in the Bay Area, with an intimate 18+ show at 330 Ritch. Aiko will be backed by a live band, and the opening acts for the show include local YouTube sensation Erin Paula, Rapper/Producer Iamsu!, and Toyoko 24. The in-house DJ for the night will be DJ King Most. Pre-sale tickets are available now for $17.00 and can be purchased online http://jheneaiko-estw.eventbrite.com/. Hope to see you there.

For another year spent working together, I grabbed my assistant two tickets to see Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, and Travis Barker on the ‘I Am Still Music’ tour. Needless to say as the date approaches, the anticipation builds, but when I peeped Wayne’s performance of “Bill Gates” during his show in Baltimore, I got excited. Click the pic above to see the footage.
So, no matter where you reside, New Years Eve is fast approaching, if you happen to be in the Tri-State area, I’m here to inform all who don’t already have plans that “The Cottage” in NYC will be off the chain this year. Hot 97’s DJ Rob Ru, DJ Express will be holding down the tables, and the world famous Rob Scott will be performing. Just know I will be there, and acting a DAMN fool all night long. So come see us.
