Dreams become reality on “Change Your Life,” the new single off Iggy Azalea’s upcoming debut The New Classic. The Aussie rap sensation partners with her Hustle Gang mentor T.I. on the aspirational tune.
T.I. Ft. CeeLo Green, just recently released the music video for “Hello” which is on T.I.’s album “Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head.” The cinematic video was directed by Marc Klasfeld and features the onscreen presence of both music artists in a narrative that begins on a desolate highway as flashbacks fill in the details of the unfolding story.
Here is a behind the scenes look at Big Boi’s next video for ‘In The A’ featuring T.I. and Ludacris. The visual was of course shot in Atlanta and will be released soon. “Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors” in stores now.
Atlanta rapper T.I. is set to release his eighth studio album titled “Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head” in mid-December, and one of the tracks on the project named “Addresses” is a diss track reportedly aimed at either Gucci Mane or Alley Boy. T.I. stopped by DJ Drama’s Shade45 show to discuss the matter and speak on who it’s aimed at.
“Nah it was direct, yeah it was direct,” T.I. explained when asked if the track was even aimed at a particular target.
Drama then asked Tip who it was aimed at and without name-dropping an artist, T.I. thoroughly explained his motives behind the track.
“The thing about who it’s directed to it benefits them more than me for me to put that out there so I made it directly to them in a way so only they will know. Therefore they can not get any shine off of it. So I’m gonna make a prediction here everybody on Shade45 on Drama show. They’ll shall be a few rappers that feel they will be benefited by accepting that burden and they will step into that line of fire knowing that it is not them but they feel that is is better for them to step into that line of fire, be hit, and receive the benefits that come with being hit by a T.I. bullet. That will be the greatest thing to ever happen to them in they life, man.”
Here is the official music video for DJ Khaled‘s “Bitches & Bottles (Let’s Get It Started)” single featuring Lil Wayne, Future, T.I., and Ace Hood. Cameos can be seen from Birdman, Mack Maine, Gudda Gudda, Mavado, and Mike Will. This visual, which was directed by Gil Green, was shot in Miami. The original song (without Ace Hood‘s verse) can be found on Khaled‘s Kiss The Ring album.
T.I.’s latest single ‘Ball’ with Lil Wayne is currently spinning on the radio and gaining momentum but Tip already has 2 more promo singles lined up before the release of Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head on December 18th. On November 27th, one of the most anticipated songs from the album ‘Sorry’ featuring Andre 3000 will be released exclusively on iTunes, followed by “Meet The Musician” podcast on December 4th and another single ‘Hello’ with Cee-Lo Green on the 11th.
After releasing his new Young Jeezy diss track ‘Truth’ recently, Gucci Mane follows it up with some visuals. He has also brought T.I. and Slick Pulla into this, saying they can both get it. Alley Boy has also jumped in the beef, saying he is going to run Young Jeezy out of Atlanta. According to Lil Lody, a response from Jeezy featuring Lil Boosie is coming soon.
Rack City was such a recognizable track, that a remix was only the logical step in keeping the banger alive on the airwaves. This time around, YMCMB’s Tyga teamed up with Wale, Fabolous, Young Jeezy, Meek Mill and T.I. to deliver a remix worthy of radio spins I’m positive it’ll attain. Check out the official video below.
Tip Harris has been a well known face in the Hip Hop community for many a year, but some of the decisions he’s made in his personal life since his entrance into the spot light have been a bit… odd. Weather you’ve been waiting for it since it was announced, or never cared enough to remember hearing about it, T.I.’s reality show has almost reached the airwaves. VH1 released a preview recently about the man, the mogul, and the myths that surround his mind-state. Check the method below.
Flexin’ is a urban term that can be used to describe many things, flexing muscles, initiating physical conflict, or boasting materialistic wealth. All of these various definitions could very well be attributes of both T.I. and Big Krit, so it’s no wonder they came together to film the video for their new track “I’m Flexin”. The official video has yet to be released, but you can check out some of the behind the scenes footage below.
I know quite a few people that think of cover bands as groups who can’t produce their own material, and are forced to take the already successful material of others. But in most cases, this is very far from the truth. Even further away from the truth is the belief that hip hop songs can’t be properly re-conceived by anyone other than a hip hop artist. I’ve got 5 videos that prove otherwise.
5. Anya Marina – Whatever You Like
Thanks to exposure from Gossip Girl (yeah son) this song flew into all of our hearts with Anya Marina’s exotic voice singing to pre-jail T.I. Sung from a female perspective, Marina seem completely in charge. it’s more pop than rock, but it’s still an amazing rendition.
4. The Fray – Heartless
Say what you will about Isaac Slade’s sing-song voice, but it does wonders to Kanye’s heavily auto-tuned break-up jam. The band’s cover is haunting and you can really feel the pain behind the lyrics the way they perform it.
3. Jenny Owen Youngs – Hot In Herre
Hearing a soft-spoken Jenny Owen Youngs sing “I was like, good gracious ass is bodacious / flirtaticious, tryin’ to show faces / lookin’ for the right time to shoot my steam” is the best way to open the most awesome rap cover ever. Throughout the song she sings with such seriousness about “poppin’ the bottles” that I had to listen to it twice to hear through my own laughter.
2. Framing Hanley – Lollipop
I know many readers may not know that a mashup of Lil Wayne’s track Lollipop that basically took me from an amateur with a buzz, to a up-and-coming professional. That being said, I have a special appreciate for this song, and personal distaste for anyone who messes it up. But when my good friend Adam Patton shot the Framing Hanley version my way, I was far more than impressed. When you watch the video however, keep in mind that this version is like a little mini movie, with a plot and the whole nine yards, but the actual songs starts at about 2:20 into the video.

1. Ben Folds – B*tches Aint Shit
This song was the inspiration for this list. It’s everything a rap cover needs to be: make it original without changing lyrics. By far one the best and funniest covers I’ve ever heard… Hands down.
