Dave Chappelle x The Walking Dead.

Dave Chappelle returned to television after a considerable absence to host Saturday Night Live this weekend.  The comedian and once king of Comedy Central delivered a hefty batch of President Trump jokes and sketches but was asked leading up to the show whether or not he would bring any of his Chappelle’s Show characters to the show. He says he originally wasn’t planning on it but recently saw an episode of The Walking Dead which inspired him to bring them to NBC.  What ensued was maybe one of the greatest 5 minutes sketches of all time, done in true Chapelle Show fashion.  Check the method.

SNL makes fun of EDM DJ’s

The EDM community has spread this video faster than an Avicii single, but we here at the blog still needed to write about it, even though most music enthusiasts have seen it.  As a DJ myself, I know personally there are quite a few times when you let a song play for a bit, and have nothing to do with your hands.  “EDM Event” DJ’s have managed to find a way around this by fist-pumping (a despicable practice) or doing other things to appear as if they’re doing something dramatic in the booth.  SNL has taken certain new fads in the DJ industry to new nights in their new spoof, poking fun at Avicii, how much money EDM DJ’s pull in, and the crowd reaction to… not really that much going on.  Check out this hilarious viral video below.

Yeah, Thats A BOAT.


Not too long ago, I was in Miami for work (and play), and I had the immense please of getting to see the “Never Say Never”.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with awesomeness, the “Never Say Never” is the boat on which the SNL comedy sketch ‘I’m On A Boat’ was filmed.  I don’t typically get star struck, but for some odd reason, seeing that particular boat was mesmerizing.  That being said, this post is about a boat that dwarfs the “Never Say Never” in every way possible.  The 55 metre superyacht Quinta Essentia, the largest vessel ever launched by the Netherlands’ Heesen Yachts, has been listed for sale for $100 million.  With sleek exterior lines by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, the yacht’s most striking feature is a grand swimming pool on the aft deck complete with a waterfall.  The yacht has a very modern interior by Ken Freivokh Design and Michela Reverberi with metallic silver accents.

Lil Wayne And Eminem’s Valentines Day Track.


We all already know that Saturday Night Live is notorious for grilling entertainers in the spot light.  One of their newest skits came as a comical parody of a collaboration between Lil Wayne and Eminem.  My good friend Carlee turned me onto the video below, and I haven’t stopped laughing since.  (The Eminem part is almost spot on.)

The Creep.


Among my close circle of friends, we have an inside joke about “lurking”, (The act of just behaving like some sort of malevolent stalker, with varying degrees of intensity.)  But on this weekends SNL, ‘The Lonely Island’ and Nicki Minaj took the concept and made it national with the debut of “The Creep”.  Just like their other short videos on SNL like “Jizz In My Pants”, “I’m On A Boat”, and “D*ck In A Box”, this new addition to the line up features Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone, and is a great spin on the fad of creating random dances that seems to be plaguing hip hop right now.  Weather the inspiration for the concept was actually the dance, or the actual lurkish act of creeping up on, and following random women, this video is hilarious, and Nicki Minaj plays her part quite well…. This one’s for my lurk-kings.
