Super Bowl 50’s Captain America TV Spot.

Screen Shot 2016-02-07 at 4.31.40 PM

Everyone knows that the Super Bowl is rife with new trailers, and exciting premieres, already we’ve seen ‘The Jungle Book’ and ‘Jason Bourne’ debut trailers, but the most exciting trailer by far of a film we’ve already seen a glimpse of, was ‘Captain America: Civil War’.  Filled with new looks at characters, and an ominous overtone, the ONLY thing wrong with this trailer is that there’s still no view of Spider-man.  (However, I’d rather wait until the actual movie to be surprised, so I’m not too upset by it.)

Our First Good Look At The Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

Entertainment Weekly is well known for grabbing some of the most exclusive movie news long before any other source has access to it, and this week, they delivered another gem.  The Avengers: Age of Ultron, caught their cover, and they were able to give us the public a little look into one of next summer’s most anticipated blockbusters.

Warning, SPOILERS (and such).

Fresh off the heels of their cover reveal, Entertainment Weekly has debuted the first official photos from the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron, including some behind-the-scenes shots. Keep your eyes peeled while looking through them and you’ll notice Don Cheadle makes an appearance. Check them all out below.

Following this morning’s new images from Joss Whedon’s much-anticipated Avengers: Age of Ultron, EW has revealed quite a few details about the plot of the May 1, 2015 release, particularly related to James Spader’s robotic antagonist!

“A lot of times when Ultron starts talking, it’s beautiful,” explains Chris Evans. “It’s really intelligent stuff. He’s out to do the things he wants to do because he’s disgusted with X, Y, and Z. You could probably sit down with Ultron and have a really intelligent conversation. He could blow your mind with his views.”

An unusual foe, Ultron actually wants to bring about world peace. He simply wants to eliminate those most responsible for disrupting it: the human race.

“I know you’re ‘good’ people,” the magazine reveals as part of Ultron’s dialogue to the Avengers, “I know you mean well… but you just didn’t think it through… There is only one path to peace… your extermination.”

The magazine confirms that Ultron’s character begins as one of Tony Stark’s “Iron Legion,” a team of Iron Man-type robots that Stark is using to continue his crime-fighting in his absence. The character also serves as a metaphorical surrogate son to Tony and has elements of his personality.

“It’s not the good version that could’ve come from [Stark’s] intellect and personality,” says Chris Hemsworth. “It’s the bad son.”

‘Iron Man 3’ Opens to Massive $195.3 Million Overseas

iron-man-3-2013

Marvel Studios and Disney’s Iron Man 3 has blasted into the stratosphere overseas, opening to $195.3 million from 42 markets to beat last year’s global blockbuster The Avengers, which debuted to $185.1 million internationally. Box office observers agree that Iron Man 3 is playing more like a sequel to last summer’s The Avengers — which featured a myriad of Marvel superheroes, including Downey’s Iron Man — than a follow-up to Iron Man 2, which posted a foreign opening of roughly $100 million in 2010. Iron Man 3 broke a slew of records, scoring the biggest weekend ever in Argentina, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore. It also scored the top Marvel opening in another raft of markets. The tentpole broke numerous records for 113 IMAX theaters, which took in $7.2 million for a per screen average of $64,000, coming in ahead of any Marvel title, including Avengers. Teaming Robert Downey Jr. with franchise newcomer, director Shane Black, Iron Man 3 opened at the international box office ahead of its May 3 North American launch, as Iron Man 2 did in 2010.

Iron Man 3 Synopsis

With the trailer rumored to be coming out in the coming weeks Disney/Marvel have now released the official synopsis for May’s “Iron Man 3″:

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce and Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968.

Marvel fans all across the globe have been laying in wait to jump all over the premier of ‘The Avengers’ in theaters.  There’s no doubt that no one else in cinema history has created such a diverse net of interconnected movies all leading up to one ensemble feature film.  The superbowl held a few surprises in the form of a 30 second trailer, that also had an extended version online.  Yesterday however, the web was a buzz with the release of the second, almost two-and-a-half minute trailer, featuring all sorts of new action, including a fight between Ironman and Thor, The Hulk chasing Black-Widow, and Mark Ruffalo delivering the line “We’re not a team, we’re a time bomb”.  Although this look at the movie sees the Avengers fighting themselves more than their enemies, there are some crazy scenes of my boy Tony Stark flying through the air, dodging and destroying things, getting into trouble, and having Hulk rescue him.  Click the pic above to watch the trailer.
