Every year since 2007, DJ Earworm has taken the calendar year’s 25 biggest pop songs and combined them into an incredibly popular, joyfully constructed mash-up, perennially dubbed the “United State of Pop.” Earworm has been analyzing the Billboard charts since he was a kid, and for “Do What You Wanna Do,” the 2014 edition of Earworm’s single-length mega-mix. Forbes Highest Paid Electronic DJs of 2013

dj-turntables

Esteemed business magazine and infamous list makers Forbes have put together the 13 highest paid electronic music DJs of 2013, estimating their earning from live shows, endorsements, merchandise sales, recorded music sales, and external business ventures. While last year saw Tiesto top the list, bagging $22 million USD, this year sees Scottish producer Calvin Harris more than doubling that figure and netting a total of $46 million thanks to over 100 live shows at places like the Las Vegas megaclub Hakkasan (for which he received up to $200,000 per night). He also receives revenue from his songwriting work for megastars like Rihanna, meaning he ends up taking home even more money than the likes of Jay-Z and Katy Perry. How did he do it? “The rise of dance music has been astronomical in the last three years,” he tells Forbes. “I happened to be in the right place at the right time.”

Skylar Grey Ft. Eminem – C’mon Let Me Ride (Official Video)

12November2012-Skylar-Grey-Cmon-Let-Me-Ride-Teaser-Photos-2

Skylar Grey is the queen of the trailer park in her new Eminem-assisted video ‘C’mon Let Me Ride,’ which features the singer-songwriter portraying a flannel-wearing hellraiser, an evil plastic surgeon, and a polka-dot-loving girl apparently modeled after Katy Perry. Eminem makes a cameo, which is only fair, since Grey co-wrote his smash ‘Love the Way You Lie.’ Slim Shady delivers a typically campy comedic performance that ends with the rapper towing a kiddie pool full of ladies from the trailer park.
