It’s A Hawkeye Holiday.

As the holiday season nears, and the Disney MCU content runs dry, many of us were reminded of a Disney + show that we never knew was in the works in the first place. Jeremy Renner returns as the title character Hawkeye in what appears to be quite an interesting, jovial sub-story that is far from the social commentary and time bending, universe ending plots of previous Marvel shows. This seems to be quite a welcome change to the Marvel trajectory, and looks quite like a small self contained story worth watching. Check out the tailer below.

Entertainment Weekly is well known for grabbing some of the most exclusive movie news long before any other source has access to it, and this week, they delivered another gem.  The Avengers: Age of Ultron, caught their cover, and they were able to give us the public a little look into one of next summer’s most anticipated blockbusters.

Warning, SPOILERS (and such).

Fresh off the heels of their cover reveal, Entertainment Weekly has debuted the first official photos from the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron, including some behind-the-scenes shots. Keep your eyes peeled while looking through them and you’ll notice Don Cheadle makes an appearance. Check them all out below.

Following this morning’s new images from Joss Whedon’s much-anticipated Avengers: Age of Ultron, EW has revealed quite a few details about the plot of the May 1, 2015 release, particularly related to James Spader’s robotic antagonist!

“A lot of times when Ultron starts talking, it’s beautiful,” explains Chris Evans. “It’s really intelligent stuff. He’s out to do the things he wants to do because he’s disgusted with X, Y, and Z. You could probably sit down with Ultron and have a really intelligent conversation. He could blow your mind with his views.”

An unusual foe, Ultron actually wants to bring about world peace. He simply wants to eliminate those most responsible for disrupting it: the human race.

“I know you’re ‘good’ people,” the magazine reveals as part of Ultron’s dialogue to the Avengers, “I know you mean well… but you just didn’t think it through… There is only one path to peace… your extermination.”

The magazine confirms that Ultron’s character begins as one of Tony Stark’s “Iron Legion,” a team of Iron Man-type robots that Stark is using to continue his crime-fighting in his absence. The character also serves as a metaphorical surrogate son to Tony and has elements of his personality.

“It’s not the good version that could’ve come from [Stark’s] intellect and personality,” says Chris Hemsworth. “It’s the bad son.”

American Hustle

American-Hustle-Poster

A fictional film set in the alluring world of one of the most stunning scandals to rock our nation, American Hustle tells the story of brilliant con man Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale) who, along with his equally cunning and seductive British partner Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams), is forced to work for a wild FBI agent, Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper). DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia that’s as dangerous as it is enchanting. Jeremy Renner is Carmine Polito, the passionate, volatile, New Jersey political operator caught between the con artists and Feds. Irving’s unpredictable wife Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence) could be the one to pull the thread that brings the entire world crashing down. Like David O. Russell’s previous films, American Hustle defies genre, hinging on raw emotion and life-and-death stakes.

The Avengers Brand New Trailer.

Marvel fans all across the globe have been laying in wait to jump all over the premier of ‘The Avengers’ in theaters.  There’s no doubt that no one else in cinema history has created such a diverse net of interconnected movies all leading up to one ensemble feature film.  The superbowl held a few surprises in the form of a 30 second trailer, that also had an extended version online.  Yesterday however, the web was a buzz with the release of the second, almost two-and-a-half minute trailer, featuring all sorts of new action, including a fight between Ironman and Thor, The Hulk chasing Black-Widow, and Mark Ruffalo delivering the line “We’re not a team, we’re a time bomb”.  Although this look at the movie sees the Avengers fighting themselves more than their enemies, there are some crazy scenes of my boy Tony Stark flying through the air, dodging and destroying things, getting into trouble, and having Hulk rescue him.  Click the pic above to watch the trailer.
