Deadly Class fans were treated to a hell of a surprise when the first episode of the TV adaptation went online this morning. SyFy is currently hosting the pilot for free via its YouTube channel to get viewers pumped up for the series’ actual premier on January 16th. The pilot introduces audiences to Marcus, a homeless teenager in 1980s America who gets recruited by a school for the next generation of deadly assassins. It’s a chaotic, action-packed, fever dream of a show complete with a punk rock soundtrack and aesthetics. For those of you who would rather be surprised, do not watch the hour long video below, however, if you won’t mind the wait, then by all means, enjoy this incredible first episode to what will hopefully be an amazing first season to a great, fresh show.

The first ever Rocawear commercial is a retrospective of Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter’s journey as a kid growing up in the humble projects of Brooklyn aspiring to make music and eventually making history. On that journey, the first business beyond music was the birth of Rocawear. Carter’s Rocawear brand represents his prowess as a business man who continues to challenge himself to be more than merely a musician. In the spot, Jay explains “ My goal was to have one gold album and that was it. And then it became, I want to show that an artist can ascend to the executive ranks.” Ultimately it has been Jay-Z’s ability to inspire his customers that has afforded Rocawear over 10 years as the number one brand in its’ space. Carter continues, “Rocawear just keeps reinventing itself and redefining itself every single day.” And you thought Rocawear was dead?
Just like many other 18-15 year old males in the U.S., I’ve become a fan of most of the programming on Adult Swim (the off the wall late night programming that comes on Cartoon Network). As the line up has changed over the years, I’ve had many different programs to look forward to, but a few months ago I got a bombshell dropped on me that Odd Future would be getting their own Adult Swim programming slot. The people reading this not totally familiarized with O.F. might not understand just how ridiculous that concept seems, but you will soon. I’ve managed to get my hands on the first episode of the show ‘Loiter Squad’, and not only is it pure unadulterated hilarity, it’s also exact what Adult Swim needed to keep their line-up fresh. Check the method below.
For those of you who are unaware of the O.F. movement, let me just open up your mind to the situation. The group is led by rapper/producer Tyler, The Creator, and includes rappers Hodgy Beats, Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis and Mike G, singer Frank Ocean, producers Left Brain, Syd the Kyd and Matt Martians, and other non-musical members, notably Jasper Dolphin, Taco and L-Boy (that appeared in the ‘Loiter Squad’ episode above.) Their music is a crowd hyping force to be reckoned with, and anyone who wants proof of this needs to go no further than San Francisco. O.F. is gathering at 330 Ritch on April 9th for a night of intoxicated skullduggery courtesy of Above Ground. Click the pic below for tickets.
Maximilian Busser and Friends (MB&F), an independent watchmaker known for its extreme designs, has taken the wraps off its new Legacy Machine 1 watch. Jean-Francois Mojon developed the design of the model’s movement, while Kari Voutilainen took care of its impeccable finishing. The Legacy Machine No 1 is based on the idea of what if MB&F designed a watch not in 2011, but 1911. The end result is a watch that is traditional in shape. Beating inside the new MB&F watch is a hand-wound three-dimensional movement. It supplies a 45-hour power reserve.
The caliber comprises 279 individual parts, including 23 jewels. It operates at a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour. Integrated within the mechanism is a 14mm balance wheel with four conventional regulating screws, floating above the movement and dials. The balance spring is a traditional Breguet curve, which terminates in a mobile stud holder.
The movement incorporates gold chatons with polished countersinks. It also boasts fine finishes, which include extraordinary hand-crafted finishing, created in the spirit of respect to the 19th century style; Geneva waves and hand-made engravings. The caliber finds its natural home in a 44mm case made of 18k red or white gold. It is composed of 65 individual parts.
The top of the new MB&F Legacy Machine 1 watch is protected by a domed sapphire crystal, with internal and external glare-proofed coating. Its back part is fitted with sapphire glass with anti-glare treatment on a single side. The movement animates hours and minutes, displayed on two independent dials. The left dial is controlled by a crown at 8 o’clock.
In charge of the right dial and winding is a crown at 4 o’clock. Moreover, the watch face demonstrates a unique vertical power reserve indicator. The new MB&F watch is worn on a black or brown hand-stitched alligator leather strap, finished with a gold tang buckle. Pricing will be set at $92,000.

Behold. The newest Spider-Man is here in all his dark, mysterious, side-lit glory. Here’s the first official shot from director Marc Webb’s upcoming revamp starring Andrew Garfield. And it looks like our friendly neighborhood webslinger has had a bad day. Not only does he appear to have been battered around—maybe by a lizard tail?—but he’s bummed enough to go strolling down the street without his mask on. True, it’s New York City, where people might not give a guy in a skintight bodysuit a second glance, but why take the chance? Still, our fave part about this pic is the backpack. For all his power, you can’t forget Peter Parker is still a high school student. Yes, he might save the world, but he still has to get his homework done. No one ever said being super was easy.
The world’s first commercial spaceship made its first manned free flight over California Sunday and successfully landed at Mojave Air and Space Port. Virgin Galactic, the US company developing the world’s first commercial manned space flight system and tourism business, announced the successful completion of the first piloted free flight of SpaceShipTwo, named the VSS Enterprise.
The spaceship was released from its mothership, the four-engined aircraft dubbed Eve, at an altitude of 45,000 ft (13,700 metres). During its first flight the spaceship was piloted by Pete Siebold, assisted by Mike Alsbury as co-pilot. The two main goals of the flight were to carry out a clean release of the spaceship from its mothership and for the pilots to free fly and glide back and land at Mojave Air and Space Port in California.
“The VSS Enterprise was a real joy to fly, especially when one considers the fact that the vehicle has been designed not only to be a Mach 3.5 spaceship capable of going into space but also one of the worlds highest altitude gliders.” – Pete Siebold
I got my first glimpse of the “Avengers” teaser, which is much to my dismay, didn’t really show sh*t. It’s very reminiscent of the first “Dark Knight” teaser that just showed the Batman logo in flames, and sound clips from the film. I would have said that the trailer was a hoax if it wasn’t the mighty Samuel L. Jackson himself narrating. But take a look, its nothing too revealing, but it does put a warm fuzzy feeling in your stomach.
