Granada, Spain-based artist Ruiz Burgos (a.k.a. “OnlyMilo“) has created an amazing series of illustrations featuring DC Comics heroes and villains in the style of Norman Rockwell‘s iconic covers from The Saturday Evening Post. Burgos’ design process for each piece can be viewed on his art blog.
Visual wizard David Nakayama has quite the incredible collection of comic based illustrations. His wildly detailed and diverse style has been used to draw a wide range of characters from comics to fairy tale characters. Check out just a sliver of his woman based work below.

My close friends and I have always been amazed by the style and unique styles of different cultures, and Japanese design is no exception. In the 1920s and 1930s, Japan embraced new forms of graphic design as waves of social change swept across the nation. This collection of 20 posters, magazine covers and advertisements offer a glimpse at some of the prevailing tendencies in a society transformed by the growth of modern industry and technology.
