Composer Tom Holkenborg (better known as Junkie XL) teamed up with the legendary Hans Zimmer to create the score on the extremely controversial ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice’, and it was a work of art. Regardless of what the (very divided) public thinks of the film, its soundtrack is something to be held in high regard. From the guitar shredding theme of Wonder Woman, to deep piano and horns of Lex Luthor’s theme, this film shines from a sonic standpoint. Superman’s theme from the ‘Man Of Steel’ film makes a resurgence, and Ben Afflecks’ Batman receives a new and ominous sound. Check out the entire, official soundtrack below.

For those of you who haven’t seen any of the clips of Snoop D.O. Double G narrating “Planet Earth”, those viral videos simple feature the BBC’s award winning animal documentary, with Snoop describing whats happening on screen. It may not seem like much of a concept, but it is amazing to hear the Doggy Style rapper be naturally enthused about nature. A petition sprung up to get Snoop to OFFICIALLY narrate a “Planet Earth” sequel, which was immediately swatted down by the BBC. Since then, “Snoop Planet” has evolved, with smaller clips for Snoop to narrate. Check out one of the funniest ones below.
Georgia’s governor, Nathan Deal, has until May 3 to either sign or veto a bill that proposes to allow a faith based organization to refuse property and service to anyone who “violates such faith based organization’s sincerely held religious belief” according to CNET.
This is a bill that supporters say defends “religious liberties” but others point out that all it really does is legalize discrimination, particularly toward gay people. And this issue is more than just letting a bakery refuse to make a cake for a gay wedding, this “protection” reportedly extends to hiring practices as well.
Disney and Marvel, who do a lot of business in Georgia have thrown their weight around with this statement:
Disney and Marvel are inclusive companies, and although we have had great experiences filming in Georgia, we will plan to take our business elsewhere should any legislation allowing discriminatory practices be signed into state law.
This is a pretty big deal, ‘Captain America:Civil War’ was made in Georgia and the latest ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ is filming there now. Big budget productions spend a lot of money and they aren’t the only ones threatening to find an alternative location. According to Variety, AMC and Viacom are also not so subtly suggesting that Georgia better not sign that into law. AMC said this:
As a company, AMC Networks believes that discrimination of any kind is reprehensible,” a company spokesman said. “We applaud Governor Deal’s leadership in resisting a previous version of this divisive legislation and urge him to reject the current version as well.
And Viacom issued this statement:
Viacom is proud to champion diversity and acceptance, which are core values of our company. We have enjoyed doing business in Georgia for many years and we urge Governor Deal to continue to resist and reject the patently discriminatory laws being proposed.
So many productions potentially leaving the state could mean huge economic losses and a growing film industry would be shattered. But lets thank Captain America and Disney for standing against injustice.

Even though we’ve never learned his name, the Dos Equis mascot known only as “The Most Interesting Man In The World” has started his final ad campaign. Since the first time I heard that unmistakable jingle, and heard the first few jokes, the Dos Equis campaign has been one of my favorites on television. (I’ve even remixed the theme, and performed shows with that as my intro.) Aside from the official commercial itself, “The Most Interesting Man In The World” has inspired a barrage of memes and countless 1 liners in the style of the commercial. Some thought the Dos Equis mascot (actor Jonathan Goldsmith) had seen is last day when tumors of his death surfaced in 2013, but it seems the end of his journey takes place on Mars. I had an interesting time this week combing through articles, photos, and videos on the internet, and two specific things, not only caught my eye, but will cease to leave my mind. The first of which is the new Samsung Galaxy S7 commercial featuring Weezy himself. Lil Wayne has said that his debut role in Apartments.com’s Super Bowl ad was “dope” and the “illest idea ever.” He loved it so much that he’s now taken a new role in Samsung’s Galaxy S7 ad campaign. The rapper said he plans to do more acting in commercials in the future. Adweek asked Lil Wayne if he’d like to be in more ads and he responded: “Hell yeah, I do … it was kind of different to have to actually follow the rules, and that was cool. Being on the set and knocking it out, it was fun.” The commercial itself is hilarious, and quite “different”. Check the method below.
The second internet clip that is now seared into my memory, is the Pixar spoof from writers/producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. “Sausage Party” may look like it’s headed for an NC-17 rating, but the creators assured advanced audiences at SXSW that it has already been awarded an R rating by the MPAA. It is directed by Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon. And it is definitely not for children, so keep them far, far away. Seth Rogen headlines this adventure as a hotdog just looking to get laid inside a delicious bun. But he soon discovers his destiny lies upon a different path. The film features the vocal talents of a who’s who of today’s comedy stars. The ensemble also includes Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton, and Salma Hayek. On Friday, John Boyega met Star Wars super fan, 5-year-old Daniel Bell. The youngster has been diagnosed with a brain tumour and his wish was to meet Finn. That became a reality when the two spent the afternoon hanging out and passing around toys to other sick children in a London hospital. “When I heard about Daniel’s wish to meet Finn, I jumped at the chance to make it come true,” the actor says. “It was fantastic to be a part of his very special wish with Rays of Sunshine. It was also great to meet the children at The Royal London Hospital and be a part of something so positive.”
Daniel’s mother meanwhile released a statement via Facebook in which she praised the actor for making her son’s wish come true. “Thank you so so much ‘Rays of Sunshine’ and John Boyega for granting Daniel’s wish to meet Finn and take toys to the hospital. It was just amazing, I have no words! Daniel is still totally overwhelmed, I have never seen him so happy.” Boyega has frequently shown himself to be a real class act and nice guy, and this is yet another example of that.
This little stormtrooper Daniel had a wonderful wish after seeing the force awakens. Daniel currently lives with a brain tumour and rather than having Finn to himself he wanted Finn to meet the kids at the Royal London hospital and give them some toys. I stayed in character while I was with this brave boy asking him what a car was. He taught Finn about everything earth related! Really thankful for the opportunity this child granted me and I’m just humbled! I hope I played a little part in making you smile young stormtrooper.
Thirty-one years after the release of “Rock the Bells” and LL Cool J is still hard as hell. The Queens native joined Dr. Dre‘s “The Pharmacy With Dr. Dre” show on Apple’s Beats 1 Radio and laid down a few bars as the Good Doctor mans the board. Sounding as fresh as he did when he first burst on the scene in the ’80s, LL hasn’t lost a step when it comes to his flow and drops a bar that pays homage to his breakout hit “I Can’t Live Without My Radio.” The legendary MC joined the legendary producer’s show back in Sept. 2015, but the footage of the session just surfaced this week.
LL has been adamant about his status as one of the greats throughout the month of March. On March 2, the MC took to Twitter to respond to a blog post that says “there’s a whole generation of kids who’ll never know that LL Cool J was a rapper, and a pretty good one at that. “Please stop pretending that we all don’t know [that] I’m one of the best to ever touch that mic,” he tweeted. “I stepped away and let you breathe. I can cut off your air supply with one single. Don’t test me…I don’t care if you Google my net worth. It’s more to it than that. The Disney movies most of us grew up with all have some type of villainous antagonist, and while some of the films show what happens to these animated bad guys, Jennifer Shari Ewing illustrated a different idea. Having a gnarly apparition throwing up green ectoplasm all over Kristen Wiig’s scientist character, the first full scene of the Ghostbusters trailer, which arrived online Thursday, is full of slime and…more slime. “We went right for the slime, and not just a little slime,” director Paul Feig tells USA TODAY. “It’s called ecto-projecting.” This green-filled start was important for the all-female Ghostbusters reboot starring Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones (in theaters July 15). It pays tribute to the famous New York Public Library ghost scene from the original 1984 Ghostbusters starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson. Switching from male to female Ghostbusters is a revive of the brand and gives Ghostbusters the opportunity to attract an even bigger audience.
But obviously, this Ghostbusters is entirely different. “We wanted to plant a flag early. People don’t know what this movie is,” says Feig. “It’s a whole different team. But it’s kind of fun leading off with something iconic from the original.” Feig, along with screenwriter Katie Dippold and producer Ivan Reitman (who directed the 1984 original), unveiled the trailer Wednesday to fans and media on the Sony Pictures lot. The trailer is promising and reminiscent of the iconic story yet with a updated spin and lots of good laughs. Check the method.
Splinter Works may have created the ultimate way to relax with Vessel, a new and elegant take on the modern bathtub. The design resembles the imagery of a hammock, and is constructed out of carbon fiber for its strength and ability to form complex curves. Floating off of the ground, Vessel is attached to the walls by two stainless steel brackets that can be covered or left bare and is filled by a sleek floor standing tap. As for drainage, there is a a built in water release at the base of the design, though a down pipe drain can also be installed if needed. Measuring nearly 9-feet in length, this sculptural tub also comes in a variety of colors such as red, blue, yellow, pink, bronze and pure silver, as well as different custom sizes to best suit the buyers personal preferences.
