The second of our two newest Aoki video release is ‘Freaks’ featuring Diplo and Deorro. If you saw ’22 Jump Street’ since its release, you may recognize this one from the Spring Break scene (where Diplo himself made a cameo appearance) Videos now a days are chocked full of wild concepts, and crazy gags, but the simplistic style of ‘Freaks’ is quite refreshing. Some seemingly explicit insinuations are made in the video, but wait till the end. Check the method below.
If something is coming out of Milan, chances are its gonna be not only fashion forward but exclusive in whatever industry that is releasing it. Fendi showed off their new headphones in a fashion show Monday night. The headphones are set to become public at the end of this year, just in time for Christmas. Handstitched by Fendi artisans, these headphones are made with selleria leather and come in a variety of colors. While fashion takes high priority when it comes to just about everything, these headphones not only look cool but sound amazing. They are made by Beats by Dre. The quality of the sound is parallel to the sleek appearance. The headphones will be released in 10 different colors including sunflower yellow, fire red, emerald green, blackboard and asphalt. When you wear them, there is no doubt that they are Fendi; there is the Fendi F embossed on each side. Not only will you know that you have headphone swag; the people next to you will know too!

Try to remember your favorite toy ever- can you do it? Imagine if you had a photo to help jog your memory; you hugging your favorite teddy or a screenshot of you playing your favorite video game. What a concept right? Time flies and growing up can kind of suck, but childhood memories definitely make adulthood a bit easier. Whether it is remembering that time the first Barbie set you got or the stuffed bunny that your Grandma gave you that you slept with for longer than you would like to admit, childhood toys played a pretty integral part of memories that we hold onto so dearly.

A photographer from Italy, Gabriele Galimberti came up with a super innovative came up with an idea to help capture those precious moments. Galimberti built a collection of photographs with children and their most prized possessions. Spending 18 months traveling the world and meeting children all over; Toy Stories is a remarkable collection.
Keynor – Cahuita, Costa Rica
Probably one of the coolest aspects of this photographic compilation is seeing what contrast exists between children in different countries. The economic standing of the country is evident in the amount of toys a child may show or the type or quality of their chosen possession.

Artists tend to have certain catalysts that spur them into doing good work at a hyper accelerated pace. My good friend and fellow DJ, Jeff Phantom tend to be a catalyst for each other. Phantom, being on tour, passed through the Bay, and we already have a multitude of projects to give out to the public. The first of which is an edit of “Stranger” originally produced by Skrillex. Renowned Swiss watchmaker Blancpain has unveiled the X Fathoms dive watch, the most high-performance mechanical diving watch ever produced. The waterproof masterpiece was launched on Tuesday (25 October) in the depths of the Aquarium at the Dubai Mall in the U.A.E. The new watch provides professional divers with all the accuracy of an electronic device, while employing the traditional skills of the Swiss mechanical watch industry.
The watch has the most accurate mechanical depth gauge in the world, which can measure up to ninety meters of depth, is water resistant to three hundred meters, and has a five day power reserve. The titanium case holds a counter that measures decompression times, and the gauge measures the current depth and maximum depth reached. Further details on the new Blancpain X Fathoms are likely to be released at the Baselworld exhibition in March 2012.
The Aussie illustrator Andrew Archer (sounds like a super-hero secret identity) developed and illustrated the style boards for the music video of ‘Lost You’ by Zed Dead x Twin Shadow. The vivid, colorful, imaginative visuals, capture the vibe of the song to a T. Kudos also to Director Danny Palmer / Grandson & Son.
BFGoodrich was launching a new tire that looked nearly identical to its predecessor, but performed better in every way. Awesomecross was designed to get the word out about the new tire, while emphasizing the BFGoodrich promise that upgrading performance upgrades driving fun. By comparing G-force tire data to EEG data from the drivers in real time, Awesomecross proved the connection between the higher levels of performance offered by the new tire and higher levels of driving fun. The tires responded to the drivers. The drivers responded to the tires. And the course responded to both. Check the method.

Dynamite Entertainment has announced a rather unique comic crossover today in the form of Django/Zorro, a comic continuation of the 2012 Quentin Tarantino film Django Unchained in which the hero will cross paths with “The Fox.” You can read the full press release on the announcement below.
The acclaimed filmmaker Quentin Tarantino comes to Dynamite for the first time with a sequel to his film Django Unchained, as Django meets the legendary Zorro! Known for his incredible films that are uniquely “Quentin”, such as Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill, Django/Zorro will stand-out from every comic book coming out this year. Django/Zorro is co-plotted by Quentin Tarantino and will be co-plotted and written by comic book legend by Matt Wagner (Mage, Grendel, The Shadow, Zorro). Reginald Hudlin, writer of the Eisner Award nominated Django Unchained screenplay adaptation and a producer of the Django Unchained film, will be working closely with Quentin and Matt as the editor of Django/Zorro! Stay tuned for information on Django/Zorro, set for release later this year from Dynamite Entertainment and DC Entertainment!

Phillip Sevy, illustrator extraordinaire has created a new spin on super hero universes. There have been different iterations of heroes and villians, with Marvel’s Zombie collection, or alternate universes in DC comics, but Sevy has put a simpler spin on things… Hipsters. See the worlds of Batman, Spiderman, and the X-Men re-imagined through the lenses of a hipsters horn-rimmed glasses. Looks to us like they’re all just chilling in San Francisco.
Upon waking this morning, I saw an email that there was great news on the horizon. The first news alert I saw was that The Power Puff Girls were coming back on TV in 2016, but swiftly after that, I realized that wasn’t the news that was supposed to excite me. The Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel’s newest and riskiest film endeavor, has a new trailer that answers peoples questions, and ups the action ante quite a bit. The art of DJ’ing has been undoubtedly convoluted with actors, and pretenders who just pre-mix sets, and dance around on stage. It’s a trend I feel like will only get worse before it gets better. There are of course turntable warriors like DJ Enferno who not only do everything live, but are more than happy to demonstrate their skills. As the blog evolves, we’ve started to cover different topic, food is one everyone needs, and we haven’t talked about enough. Hiroki Yoshitake, chef at the Parisian restaurant Sola, has created a new in-flight menu for Japan Airlines. Through August 31, first-class and business passengers on Japan Airlines will enjoy meals by the chef and co-owner of Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris. In first class, caviar, smoked salmon and beef tenderloin are among the high-end dishes travelers will enjoy. Business class passengers, meanwhile, will savor foie gras mousse and sauteed lobster, among other offerings. Passengers can end their meal on a sweet note with a light tropical fruit cream, a bergamot-infused milk chocolate mousse and a light cookie. The new menu is available only to passengers in these two classes on flights between Paris and the airlines’s Japanese destinations. In September, Japan Airlines will introduce a new fall menu from Shinichi Sato, the chef at the Parisian restaurant Passage 53, accompanied by a dessert course from pastry chef Jean-Paul Hévin. Tasty as hell.
From the creator of the Flyboard – a jet-pack-inspired rotating platform designed specifically for the water, champion jet-skier Franky Zapata reveals the Hoverboard. Using the same technology as its predecessor, but with a single slalom water ski, the board is attached to a long hose with a single hydro-jet spewing water at a rate that will send its rider 30-feet into the air doing somersaults and flips on the way down. Now picture this, the Craigslist ad for Bran Castle, commonly known as Dracula’s Castle, which is now up for sale. It can’t be an easy one to write, but it’d be fun to read:
“New listing: 8 Bed/4 Bath castle near Transylvania… Built in the 13th century, but renovated in the early 90s… plenty of space… lots of old world charm… previous owner Prince Vlad III of Wallachia, aka Vlad The Impaler, was known for excessive cruelty, but the stench of 80,000 impaled souls is long gone now due to a newly remodeled kitchen and lanai… great play room for kids… asking $80 million or next best offer.” While we’re not exactly sure of those room details, that asking price is actually legit.

This incredibly unique character comes complete with his own world thought up by Maquinita, and shows that with the right set of skills you can bring any creation to life. Their lives are very short like a dog or like a purple phonix. But hundreds and hundreds of milleniums even before the “hex”, They’ve found the way to make it longer building a frindship with the inmortals and lonely Cloopa turtles. For ages, this has been one of the most beatiful relationships between two very different beasts.
Sir Mix A-lot and the Seattle Symphony has come together (I never thought I’d write that sentence) to do what S.M.A. lovingly calls Orchestral Movements From The Hood night. Now in its third year, Seattle Symphony’s critically acclaimed Sonic Evolution project creates a bridge between the Symphony and Seattle’s storied reputation as launching pad for some of the most creative musicians on the popular music scene. Each year, in celebration of the past, present and future of our city’s musical legacy, Ludovic Morlot and the Seattle Symphony commission world-class composers to write orchestral world premieres inspired by bands and artists that launched from, or are related to, Seattle. In addition to writing a brand new composition inspired by Seattle’s own Sir Mix-A-Lot, composer Gabriel Prokofiev also orchestrated two of the legendary rapper’s most famous hits for this year’s concert, including “Baby Got Back,” for which Sir Mix-A-Lot joined Ludovic Morlot and the Orchestra on stage at Benaroya Hall.
