Architect Konrad Wójcik has taken the treehouse concept out of the actual tree and put it right next to them. These sustainable tree-shaped houses could be going up in a forest near you soon, as the futuristic design and environmentally friendly specs have caught the attention of more than a few potential buyers. With an array of solar panels, a heat pump bringing in energy from the ground, and a bio-digester to recycle human waste, the goal is true sustainability. There’s no cement or steel used on any of the four floors, just a lightweight but strong wooden frame. Four people can chill here with ease, and the plan would be to have all of the houses within walking distance of public transportation.
