The Kurt Geiger Stores.

UK-based shoe and accessory retailer Kurt Geiger has been rolling out its new retail store concept in the UK and around the world with the help of its long-time collaborators at Found Associates of London.  Kurt Geiger’s flagship store and headquarters at 198 Regent Street in London’s West End is a glamorous shoe emporium within a five-story historically protected building.  Red carpet covers the ramp leading to the men’s department, and it also links visually to the red glass walls at the rear of the store. The walls are lined with dark grey glass shelves forming a beautifully formal “library of shoes.”  Mirrors and glass, and the colors red, white and black create the entire visual structure of the store, allowing the shoes to remain the main focus. The Kurt Geiger Regent Street store occupies 2,800 square feet (260 square meters) of space.  The mirrors, distorting the space and creating infinite reflections, are all the props that are needed to create a luxurious, fantastical environment.  This Covent Garden store received RetailWeek’s 2011 Fashion Retail Interior of the Year award.

Elisha Jade.

While I was scanning my emails I came across an ad for a calendar, and one of the models that stood out the most was April… Miss Elisha Jade.  Elisha is from the U.K., She is an established glamor, commercial model and TV presenter for a well known sky channel that broadcasts from England, Ireland, Scotland and parts of Europe Elisha Jade is mixed with Puerto Rican, Black and Italian decent.  5’7″, 34F-26-40 Elisha also shows she’s quite the business women while maintaining a warm and down to earth personality with that sweet English charm.  Elisha has been modelling for 4 years and is now looking to branch out and promote herself as a brand in more American publications.  She also has her own swimwear collection that launched in 2010.  Check out some of her other photos below from a shoot with Frank D.

The Sunseeker 155 Yacht.

UK yacht builder Sunseeker presents the new flagship tri-deck motor yacht Sunseeker 155, which is currently in build and is due to be launched in 2014.  With a 4500 nautical mile range, this is the first ever semi-displacement, round bilge and long keel hull from Sunseeker.  This yacht will reportedly have 40 percent more interior space than the company’s current flagship, the Sunseeker 40M.  Sunseeker will allow personal customization, with owners being able to make their specifications and requests with regard to the superstructure as well as the interiors.  With a top speed of up to 26 knots the 155 Yacht will accommodate up to 12 guests and 10 crew members.

The Bus Graveyard.

Mark Mawson is quickly becoming one of my favorite photographers.  One of his collections I put up recently titled “Aqueos Fluoreau” was one of the more stunning photo collections I’ve come across in a while.  But the next collection I picked up on from him “The Bus Graveyard” is an whole different bowl of chili (so to speak.)  Take a look at his pictures of the Bus Graveyard.

The Life Sized Pin Toy.

Bag designer Lulu Guinness created this human-sized pin toy as part of Clerkenwell Design Week in the UK and placed the interactive sculpture for passers-by to have fun with. Passers-by were encouraged to step up to the screen and press their bodies against the pins to set an image of themselves. Inevitably, many cheeky ideas, like the one above, were floated.

Carmel Candy on ‘This Is 50’.

In the entertainment industry, the only thing better than success is seeing people around you doing big things.  From Tokyo 24, to b.FUNK, it seems everyone I talk to is making huge strides, and Carmel Candy is no different.  The UK model has been state side since June, and has been tearing up the east coast from the minute she stepped foot in the US.  Check out her interview on This Is 50 Radio, when even Fif himself pops in to say a few words.

Don’t Throw Stones In This House…

Having just launched in the UK with their showroom on London’s Great Portland Street, Santambrogiomilano created a collaboration with founder Carlo Santambrogio and designer Ennio Arosio.  Their ‘Simplicity’ range features a series of iconic furniture pieces, beds, sofas and bookcases, along with architectural elements such as staircases and kitchens, all fashioned from ‘extraclear’ glass, that are elegant and distinctive, whilst perfectly complimenting their surroundings. The beauty of their work is perfectly showcased in their awe-inspiring concept home that the company are currently seeking a permanent location for…. whilst we may have one or two reservations about privacy, the idea of lying in bed watching the night sky is remarkably alluring… And people can watch you get down and dirty from outside.

Sam Bradley’s Photography.

Sam Bradley’s photos came to my attention late last night, and I’ve been somewhat stuck on them ever since.  His unique style, and ability to chose some “interesting” subject matter (hot girls with tattoos) definitely have the ability to keep peoples attention.  I don’t have too much personal information on this UK photographers, but from what I’ve seen so far, his work seems top notch.  Check the method below.

New School/Old School Arcade Games.

So, who’s got game? We found these old-school tables in Australia at Arcade Tables. The company has been making the coffee-table size arcade tables, which were popular about 30 years ago, since 2001.  While the newly designed tables are more stylish, they’re still filled with the classic video-arcade games of the 1980s including Space Invaders, PacMan, Donkey Kong, Scramble, Galaga and more.

The tables come with 60 pre-loaded classic games that include all the original soundtracks and graphics. The company reports that its arcade tables are being played on in Australia, New Zealand, the UAE and the UK. The tables are being delivered to private households, as well as to commercial clients, such as bars, lounges, cafes and even workplaces. The units weigh about 165 pounds and can be stationary or made mobile with attachable castors.

These tables are home décor friendly with sleek designs and come in various colors.  The Stealth, the newest product, is offered in both black and white glossy variants, which are listed as “Deep Space Obsidian” and “Supernova White.”  The glass-top surface of the tables is one-half-inch thick tempered, tinted glass with beveled edges and a rubber seal to ensure durability. Along with the arcade tables, the company also sells complementing stools and accessory pieces. The various stools are uniquely decorative.

The Student Boutique.

Like I’ve said before, anyone who knows me personally, knows I’m a sweatpants-and-‘plain black T-shirt’ person all day long, so I’m trying to get more and more into fashion as time goes on.  But I haven’t been just taking notice of my own taste, becoming more acquainted with female fashion has been helping me out lately.  (And I’ve been chilling at FIDM a lot as well).  So when I came across a website named “The Student Boutique” I was quite impressed with their selection, and more importantly their prices.  (My assistant is shopping on the site as I’m writing this).  TSB was specifically designed by its creator Candice Edwards-Marchrones to be very reasonably priced with the student budget well in mind.  Being a student herself very much helped her keep the price range in mind, while still being able to provide top notch fashion choices on the site.  Student Boutique has a wide, diverse, and well compiled collection of clothes, dresses, accessories for women that are exclusive to the site, and TSB is where I’m going to get all the gear for the women in my life this Christmas.  (I’m pretty sure they’re sick of getting DJ Storm t-shirts every year.)

Carmel Candy.

I’m not sure if I’m just on an extra European phase right now, or what the case is, but it just seems like all the women catching my attention now a days seems to be from across the Atlantic. The model known as “Carmel Candy” is no exception. This 23 year old UK beauty is a classically trained actress and also sings, dances and has a degree in Media and Performance. Shes an intelligent aspiring model with natural curves in all the right places, Candy also says that she has the personality to match. She also says that the States are in her future plans and that the market for modeling opportunities are far more abundant on this side of the pond.

Jessica Castillo.

So in my never ending search for incredible models, Jessica Castillo came into my sights.   This glamor model from South London was born and raised in South America but relocated to London England roughly 7 years ago.   Jessica claims to be a fun, bubbly and outgoing, ambitious model who loves the industry.
Her career has only lasted a few years, but already she’s been an impressive number of photo and video shoots.
Her natural, and quite stunning curves have even propelled her in the direction of some erotic/nude shoots, which says she is very good at.  Apparently the market in London isn’t too saturated with models willing to try those types of shoots, which makes Castillo a commodity.  She is not however a pornographic talent.  (Sorry ladies, but I don’t feature pornstars on the blog.) Aside from glamor and erotic/nude, Jessica has her heart on editorial, print and anything else that is hot and creative. She’s a rare find, and a model who’s very determined, reliable, professional and is willing to put 100% into any work project that comes her way.

Nelly Furtado ft. WIley – Night Is Young

I’ve been getting more and more in touch with music from ‘over the pond’ recently, and came across a super dope remix of “Night Is Young”.  The track features the musical talents of Nelly Furtado, and lyrics from the Godfather of Grime himself Wiley, and is remixed by ‘Sketch Iz Dead’.  Normally I’d tell you to click the pic to get a hold of the song, but the powers that be have rendered the song itself too exclusive for civilians right now, so check the youtube video below to get a whiff of this greatness.  If you want to get a hold of the song itself, (I can’t make guarentee’s) but, hit Wiley up on twitter @Wileyartist.
