Foods In All Their Colors.

Photographer and food enthusiast Brittany Wright sets up intricate culinary still lifes that focus primarily on the differentiation of fruits’ and vegetables’ coloration. Wright captures a rainbow of colors in foods ranging from heaps of apples to carrots plucked freshly from the earth. Each photograph focuses on the produce against a stark white background, a way to display the food’s vibrant shades without distraction.

The Seattle-based photographer is fascinated by capturing the aging process of vegetable and fruits, displaying the variety of forms each piece takes during ripening and decay. Wright even includes fruit harvested from her own backyard, photographing raspberries both plump and shriveled.  Wright’s client list is diverse, including brands Dry Soda and Samsung as well as (appropriately) several farms. You can see more colorful gradients and food-based imagery on Wright’s Instagram.

The Mid-Lake Skate Ramp.

Lake-Tahoe-Floating-Skate-Ramp-1

Professional skateboarder Bob Burnquist has taken his skateboard on water to skate on the Floating Skate Ramp in Lake Tahoe, California. This is a unique piece of engineering made by skilful Jerry Blohm and Jeff King especially for Bob Burnquist. The 7,300 lbs skate ramp was built at 45-degree in 300 man hours featuring 1250 screws. The ramp is 36 feet long and 8 feet tall accompanied by 5 feet tall secondary ramp. Each wood panel was tainted with different color and polished to create horizontal stripes. No need to worry about the landing if you mess up a trick and go over the ramp. This floating ramp was actually built for Dream Big California Tourism Campaign.  Check it out.

Bugatti Gangloff Concept

04 01

Check out this concept car created by Polish designer Paweł Czyżewski. The Bugatti Gangloff Concept is a design study of a sleek super car inspired by the 1938 Type 57 SC Atalante Coupe one-off. The name Gangloff is from the French coach-builder that created the Type 57 SC Atalante. As you can see from features like the size air intakes and the horsehoe grill, the car also brings in cues from the Veyron. “In times of commercial trash and plastic it is hard to see something that has a soul and is able to squeeze out a positive mark on the heart,” Czyzewski said about the car.
