Continuing on their celebration of the Reebok Classic Leather‘s 30th Anniversary, the brand has collaborated with Tokyo retailer mita Sneakers. This sneaker is a colorful combination of materials and tones, meshing pig suede, sky blue chambray, terry, and glow-in-the-dark on one nicely executed silhouette. Behind this is Shigeyuki Kunii, creative director at mita Sneakers, who is responsible for the innovative design process with which mita approaches its collaborations.
As a part of their ongoing relationship with Reebok per the recently launched Reebok Certified Network, Swedish retailer Sneakersnstuff teamed up with the footwear giant to outfit a rendition of the Insta Pump Fury. This particular version, called the “Legal Issues,” references a certain pop culture phenomenon that carries certain trademark barriers. Regardless, the brand did well to outfit the Pump Fury with plush materials around its upper, bound within a white/black leather foot-cage. The shoe also features Sneakersnstuff branding around the heel tab.
Swizz Beatz drops the official music video “Street Knock”. The “Street Knock” video features flashy vehicles created by Lotus, clothing by Reebok and dope rhymes from ASAP Rocky over brilliant production by the super talented Araab Muzik. Appearances by Jadakiss, Drag-On, Allen Iverson and others. Directed by Taj_Tpk.
Back in my day, companies like Gatorade, Wheaties, Nike, and Reebok used athletes to get the point across that their brand was aimed at the sports players. I’m a Ricky Rosay fan, don’t get me wrong, but he’s so big, when he turns in a circle, people throw him a welcome back party. He isn’t exactly the perfect picture of athleticism. However, although Reebok is taking the a different road with who sports their brand, Rick Ross’s international recognition will do nothing but good things for their name.
