Production has begun on Italian boat company jet capsule‘s latest invention, a private 5 person and nine person taxi version. After the initial concept presentation five years ago, the unusual form was finally unveiled at the 2013 monaco show, where the design team sought to create a floating transportation device that was different from all others on the market. The innovation, which is 7,5 meters long and 3,5 meters wide is a fully customizable product that allows several configurations, including one with transformable sofas, a boat taxi with large seats and a luxury version with integrated comfort features. Several other versions are currently under development for ambulance and emergency purposes. The current capsule model has a built-in hydro-jet system that can be equipped with one or two engines, but the team are also working on the first electrically powered design to be presented in june 2014. All the jets come with an international sail certification and can navigate and operate in any country/region, and waves of up to 4 meters.

Elegant Villa F in Greece

general 03 04

Check out this stunning private holiday residence Villa F located in Rhodes, Greece. It was completed by HORNUNG AND JACOBI ARCHITECTURE, with a very unique architectural design that sets it apart from its rocky landscape. The site of the holiday home in Rhodes/Greece yet possess characteristics and outstanding qualities, which we only attempted to frame with our design. The site is located three meters above a coastal road, which is bordered by a natural stonewall that has been equally continued for our proposal. On the one hand the continuation of the found wall generates a high level of privacy, while on the other hand it relates to the given situation, which we were tempted to preserve as much as possible. The holiday home was designed for a couple. They wished a separate area for guests, which we mostly embedded in the given topography by integrating the shady tree population and without generating an equally visible volume.

The challenge in this design lies in construction and the involved climate technology. The construction of the building above ground is planned as a prefabricated timber structure finished with white plaster, which generates an abstract link to traditional old buildings close to that site. The lightweight construction was chosen because it will be mainly used for spontaneous short-term visits. Massive building parts were avoided to reach a quick cool down. Through a mechanically controlled opening in the roof a well-known chimney effect will be activated, which starts at the massive base plate in the garage from where integrated cable ducts lead cooled air through the building. An additional cooling effect will be provided by the evaporation of the pool. The triangle-shaped photovoltaics on the roof provides the building with energy and enables a self-sufficient living.

Located amongst the lush shrubs and trees in Saint-Tropez, France, this contemporary private home stands in direct contrast to its natural surroundings, constructed from a combination of glass, raw concrete, and steel. Each level is reminiscent of an open pavilion, with the boundaries to the outdoors broken down by sliding floor-to-ceiling windows and doors. Inside, the layout has been kept as open plan as possible, with a large lounge and kitchen/dining area lending itself perfectly to simple Mediterranean meals. Direct access to the large roof terrance is also available from the lounge area, from which you can see an additional shipping container-style guesthouse in the grounds.

The 64th Cannes Film Festival took place a few weeks ago, and was a celebration of film, arts and glamour; A slick mixture of old Hollywood, Red-carpet premieres, and the quintessential yacht party.  Diddy a regular to cannes, a gentleman of exquisite means and the international archetype of the soirée;  Reminds us all in this short film, that while many other rappers have come and gone..  “Diddy was here first”

The Eminem x Nike Collection.

I’ve been a massive Eminem fan for quite some time, but still never necessarily associated his name with sneakers.  Names like Michael Jordan, Dwayne Wade, and Kobe Bryant are all much more likely to bring the ‘shoe game’ to mind, but after you see the Brisk Bodega video showcasing Em’s shoe collabs, you may think differently.  Check the method below.

The Villa Amanzi.

I’m always looking for fly homes to stay in on vacation (if I ever took one), but the Villa Amanzi is one of the most stunning spots I’ve come across in recent memory.  The home seems to grow out from the rock, and is open, airy and very elemental.  This composition defines the open living and dining space that is simply a transition between two garden areas.  Amanzi is located in Cape Sol on the West coast of Phuket.  It’s intimate but open and the uninterrupted clear span creates a bridge under which the conventions defining indoor space disappear.  Cantilevered over a massage sala, the swimming pool completes the composition. The designers say “It is the focal point that draws the eye to the view and instills a calmness that provides balance with the energy of the architecture.”  The residence (8,600 sq ft) offers six bedroom residence with a 15m infinity pool and breathtaking views over the Andaman Sea. It is designed as an exclusive private villa, ideal for families or groups of friends to escape together in stylish surroundings.  All in all the house seems like perfect place to spend a nice relaxing week with a Csilla Ray look alike, and forget about the stresses of my work life.
