Marvel vs. Capcom IS BACK.

screen-shot-2016-12-03-at-12-24-19-pm

Earlier this afternoon, at the Playstation Experience, Marvel Entertainment & Capcom officially announced the long-awaited fourth chapter in their long-running Marvel vs. Capcom fighting game series, titled Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.  The ‘Marvel vs. Capcom’ series has led to MANY a dorm room scuffle in my day, but I’m glad that 10 years after the last outting, the franchise has returned.

The game is still in development at the moment, but it is expected to be available worldwide on the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC late 2017. Details on the lineup of playable characters and storyline weren’t provided, but the brief teaser provides a look at Captain Marvel & Iron Man facing off with Ryu and Mega Man X. We also catch a look at a mysterious figure – that looks a lot like Ultron – sitting in the dark.

Fascinating Manipulations by Christophe Huet

Take a look at fascinating images created by genius Photoshop retouch master from France, Christophe Huet. He is the one who creates the famous advertising for Playstation, Nike, Motorola, Surfrider Foundation, etc. His work is a perfect fusion between old-school photography and digital created composites. Somehow, he melts the thin barrier between reality and his own tortured imagination resulting in viscerally surreal images.

If Video Game Consoles Were Buildings…

French culture magazine ‘Amusement’ has posted a fun photo feature online called If I were President…, which replaces buildings with super-sized gaming consoles and handhelds. It’s funny, I never realized before how much our old-school NES resembled a Brutalist structure. Click through to see how the PS3 looks on the Potsdamer Platz in Berlin…

SONY Got Served.

Sony’s latest revelation came just a day after it announced measures to avert another cyberattack like that which hit its PlayStation Network two weeks ago.  The Japanese electronics company said its Sony Online Entertainment PC games network had been hacked on April 18, but did not find out about the breach until the early hours of Monday and shut down the service shortly afterwards.  The breach may also have led to the theft of 10,700 direct debit records from customers in Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain and 12,700 non-U.S. credit or debit card numbers, it said.  PS3 players, BE WARNED.
