Will Smith recently dropped his first verse in a decade on a remix of Bomba Estereo’s “Fiesta,” and now the actor-returned-rapper is ending his similarly lengthy video drought by appearing in the group’s clip. The new “Fiesta” video takes place at the tail end of a neon-coated warehouse party, with the arrival of a cloaked figure – Smith dressed like it’s an I Am Legend sequel – reigniting the festivities. In a making-of video for the “Fiesta” remix, Smith again breaks down why he decided to end his hip-hop hiatus by jumping on the Bomba Estereo track. “I was in Colombia with Marc Anthony. He was listening to music and I heard the ‘Fuego, fuego’ and I was like, ‘Yo, that joint is crazy,'” Smith said of hearing the Colombian band for the first time. Smith’s manager happened to be friends with people at Bomba Estereo’s record label, who then provided the actor with the “Fiesta” single. “I said, ‘That is crazy, I need to be on that.'”
Word is also that it’s about to be a legit “Fiesta” at this year’s Latin Grammys. People en Español reports that Will Smith will be joining his new Latin BFFs Bomba Estéreo for a performance of their recent collaboration, which can only be described as an epic carnival with a few bilingual, Big Willie-style verses sprinkled on top as confetti. “It’s truly an honor for me to perform at the Latin Grammys,” Smith told the magazine. “To be surrounded with so many artists who have made such an impact globally is really exciting to me.”
If anyone has watched the movie “The Perfect Storm”, you’d know that when multiple formidable forces connect, things can get pretty ugly. That’s exactly what we have in the case of Duckwrth, The Kickdrums, and Brooklyn Gypsy. The track Naruto has already been spun all over the world, before the video even dropped. Shot by Mancy Gant, the Naruto video is both tribal, and urban. Simple, unique, and complex. Stunningly introspective, and still manages to give people what they want from Duckwrth. Check out the visuals for Naurto below.
Dressed in a white straitjacket, the video opens Wayne being dragged through an insane asylum as prisoners creepily recite The Lord’s Prayer. Throughout the video, Wayne is shown eating in the asylum’s cafeteria, taking part in group therapy, taking his medicine, being locked in a padded room with his two alter-egos, starting a riot among the prisoners, and finally being electrocuted in an electric chair.
I’m not talking about being crazy in the song, I’m just talking about being me, and a lot of people view that as crazy so we just wanted to capture that and have fun with it.~ Lil Wayne explained to MTV.
There has been a recent sect of videos being released that don’t focus mainly on the musical artist, but more on the visuals. ‘Turn Down For What’ was an exceptional example of this, and the new video Aerosol Can from Major Lazer and Pharrell is a brilliant visualization of the song. Featuring artwork from Mike Giant, the lyrics of the song are illustrated and animated in a way that brings the track to life. Check the method below.

Diplo has had some extremely impressive collaborative credits under his belt, some of which may even border on unusual. The track itself stands alone, but the style, concept, and execution of the video is unique in a way that’s more than noteworthy. Check the method below.
