Skating MIA.

SkatingSkateboarding is easily one of the most dangerous common activities to participate in on this little big planet we call Earth. But it’s also one of the coolest, most exhilarating sports to take part in.  The only thing cooler than skateboarding is skateboarding in the city of Miami with hot girls, yachts, bright skies and crisp waters surrounding you.  In a recent video shot for the skate team Asphalt Yacht Club, the crew takes on Miami, FL, and shows you exactly how much fun you can have with a couple of skateboards, girls and boats.  We personally think they should’ve used Will Smith‘s hit song “Miami”in the video, but the music they chose will do for now. Watch the team land some pretty impossible skate tricks that make the sport look entirely too easy. Check the method below.

pitbull

Miami based rapper Pitbull decides to let loose on Lil Wayne after the YMCMB rapper took shots at his home town. Although he was one the rappers we least expected to return shots, Pitbull is taking shots at Weezy on his latest remix to “Harlem Shake” in a track he called ‘Welcome 2 Dade County.’  “I’m self-made, I’m self-paid / I grew up with no daddy, I’m from Miami-Dade,” Pitbull spits on the track. “It’s a deposition / Watch what you speak / Who’s the definition of Miami?  Me / I move cultures, don’t believe me? / Watch and see.”

This isn’t only time Pitbull mentions Cash Money on the track either. The rapper also opens up about Cash Money co-founders Birdman and Slim, alluding to them being the ones making money off of Wayne’s success. “You got money, yeah that’s sweet / But we all know Slim and Baby really eat / You talk Miami, yes you talkin’ Heat / Moral of the story, don’t shit where you eat.”

Birdman’s Birthday Party At Liv.

I’ve posted quite a few videos about the comings and goings of YMCMB, and I’ve been asked quite a bit about why that is.  It’s not because the YMCMB crew is one of the biggest names in music, but because it just seems that when they party, they do it bigger than anyone else right now, and I just enjoy watching them.  Check out Birdman’s birthday party at Liv in Miami.

Dr. Dre’s Performance At Liv In Miami.

DJ Khaled’s Birthday At Mansion In Miami.

The pic above of DJ Khaled rocking his old Terror Squad chain of yesteryear, but since his old days of T.S. he’s moved on to bigger and better things.  A new label (Young Money), a new boss, (Lil Wayne), and a new crew (YMCMB), but most importantly, a new year brings new challenges, and at his birthday party at Mansion in Miami, his old friends came by wish the big man luck on his new endeavors.  Check the video below.

The Porsche Tower.

A Miami Beach condo developer plans to build a new skyscraper with a robotic parking deck built in. The Porsche Design Tower project will allow owners to ride their vehicles into a robotic elevator system that drops them and their vehicles at their doorstep. The $560 million tower will rise in Sunny Isles Beach as part of a collaboration between Porsche Design Group and a local developer, Gil Dezer. “After the resident pulls over and switches off the engine, a robotic arm that works much like an automatic plank will scoop up the car and put it into the elevator. Once at the desired floor, the same robotic arm will park the car, leaving the resident nearly in front of his front door.” The condo will have 132 units over 57 stories, with larger units sporting up to four parking spaces per unit.

I’m On One Docu-Video.

I’m well aware that I posted up some footage by Derick G recently documenting behind the scenes of a music video, but going through his collection of work has led me to another gem.  The documentary style footage taken of the “I’m On One” video takes an interesting peek behind the curtain of Miami life, the concept behind the music video, and the people who helped put it all together.  Check the method below.

Francesca Frigo.

I know I’ve said it before, but I’m a huge fan of people my age who are making a name for themselves in whatever their field may be.  I peeped Francesca Frigo recently and was shocked to find out this wildly beautiful model was born in 1986.  Half Italian, and half Venezuelan Frigo was born in a small town in Venezuela and moved to florida when she was 16.  Studying fashion design and merchandising, she now works part time for a Miami TV show called PHTV, on top of modeling.  Francesca primarily focuses on print work high fashion/glamor shots, and similar concept shoots to increase her ever growing portfolio.  And as amazing as Francesca would look laid up in a night club, she has said that for right now, she’s not interested in promotional or any type of “entertainment” work.

Victoria M.

Normally the models I come across are established across the world, the hip hop community, or the internet.  Stumbling across the lovely Victoria M, however, proves that you can be stunning while being international in quite a different way.  Born in Siberia (Russia, for those of you who may be less worldly) she has since found herself on the beaches of Miami and has been enjoying it for a little over 5 years.  Her sultry looks, and curvaceous body doesn’t necessarily reflect the style of European fashion community, so when Victoria wound up on South Beach, the masses suggested she try the modeling field, and thank God she did.

Victoria has danced every style down to stripping, and is extremely athletic.  Being gorgeous is far from her only asset, she claims to be very athletic, a sports fan, and was also an avid swimmer and theater actress in her yester-years.  Her all natural body has her being looked at for Event Promotion, Go-go Dancing, Music Promotion/Music Video work, Glamor, Runway, Print, Fitness, Victoria even says she wouldn’t mind being one of the women who struts around the ring at an MMA fight.  So enjoy the photos, Vicky M is definitely on her way to making waves in the urban modeling industry.
