INFINITI Q Inspiration Concept.

Infiniti is always surprising us with features we can’t even see! And let me tell you this, the Infiniti Q Inspiration is doing exactly that – hiding the world’s first ever production ready four-cylinder variable compression ratio engine under the hood of what can easily be seen as a futuristic concept. It may look like a futuristic concept, and it should because they have just entered the future with the Q Inspiration.

Coming complete with an AI/semi-autonomous feature, the Infiniti Q Inspiration has a ProPilot assistant who helps with menial tasks like sitting in traffic or parking. So it’s super smart and super-efficient, it’s also super attractive. The Q Inspiration is inspirational – the rear of this vehicle just oozes a type of class rarely seen with futuristic cars, it’s keeping the mix of curvaceous and organic shape while the lights bring a more futuristic dynamic to tie it all together. This is a gorgeous car, and one can only hope it gets the recognition it most certainly deserves.

Yayoi Kusama Exhibits Dizzying Infinity Room

With a six decade long career behind her, the famed japanese artist Yayoi Kusama shows no signs of slowing down, presenting a monumental show of new and recent work at David Zwirner gallery in New York. Her distinguishing themes of universal infinity, endlessness, and the cosmic realms are reflected in twenty-seven new large scale paintings, two immersive sculptural rooms, and a video installation, of which the exhibit ‘I who have arrived in heaven’ is comprised, spanning the gallery’s three consecutive locations. Kusama’s amalgamation of pop and minimalist art have manifested as hypnotic architectural interventions within david zwirner gallery, dizzying the visitor in illuminated mazes of sound, light, and color. A room of kusama’s most kaleidoscopic environments to date is filled with inflatable tentacle like forms covered in the artists trademark polka dots, while the artist’s voice can be simultaneously heard reciting a japanese love poem. Her more recent explorations of two-dimensional mediums have been realized through the series of acrylic works, all painted by hand, with representations of vibrant biomorphic shapes and forms personified as animated creatures.

The Infiniti Emerg-E Concept.

Infiniti has announced further details of a major new sports car concept set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show.  The Nissan-owned brand revealed February 3 that the model will be called ‘Emerg-E’, promising a low-emission, high-performance and high-technology car, with several firsts — and a new design direction for the brand.  The concept will use a range extender drivetrain, meaning that it will contain an electric motor and a gas-powered generator, as opposed to Nissan’s proven 100 percent battery technology used by cars such as the Leaf.

It will also have the drivetrain mounted in a mid-ship package, between the two axles, which the firm says is a first and significantly helps the weight distribution to improve handling — a concept which could be transferred to future production models, assuming it tests well.

The first partial photos of the model appear to show a low-slung form, with a two-seater cockpit and a shape which appears to have been at least partially inspired by the Infiniti Essence concept, revealed at Geneva in 2009.  The Essence was designed to celebrate Infiniti’s 20th anniversary, and while there have been no noises from Nissan on whether the Emerg-E will hit production, the trend seems to indicate that Infiniti is working towards a very specific goal.

Infinity x Bell & Ross.

Car maker Infiniti has unveiled the Limited Edition BR02-8 Infiniti Carbon Case Purple 8 Pro Dial wristwatch, engineered by Bell & Ross.  The watch is the second timepiece revealed by Infiniti, the first of which was the special edition BR03-92 Instrument Phantom model commemorating the arrival of the Infiniti FX Limited Edition.  The seconds hand and eighth digit sit on a matt black dial, featuring a photo-luminescent finish in the same purple used by Infiniti.  The number ‘eight’ is a symbol of luck in Asia and resembles the symbol for infinity and the automaker’s badge when rotated. The steel case back of the watch is engraved with the Infiniti signature.  The BR02-8 Infiniti Carbon Case Purple 8 Pro Dial wristwatch is limited to 200 pieces, each with a base MSRP of £3,090 ($5,080).
