JamStik | A Guitar Designed For Your iPad

JamStik-MIDI-Guitar-for-iPad-4

This 15” long MIDI instrument features real guitar strings and works wirelessly over Wi-Fi. The company behind the JamStik, Zivix, says there’s no tuning required, and the low latency means instant responsiveness with the strings—very important. There’s a rechargeable battery so you can whip out your Stik for those campfire sing-a-longs, and it has full MIDI support for those home studio sessions. Plus, the bundled JamTutor system promises to teach you things Activision never could.

The Stash Stainless – Stainless Steel Bass Guitar

general

The Stash Stainless is the only bass guitar that is made from stainless steel with unified frets and a tubular neck design. Each piece of the guitar has been custom crafted and hand assembled by the designer, Stan Potyrala. The design is not only distinct, sleek and modern, but the unique tubular neck presents the fingers of the musician to a parallel array of strings around a circular radius. This allows access of the fingers to each string in a more natural and comfortable way. This design can ease the muscle stress that a flat surface can cause to the fingers, hands and wrist. The composition of the entire instrument (body, neck, bridge and strings) are of the same metal – having one coefficient of thermal expansion. This eliminates relative dimension changes as a result of extreme temperature shifts. This means your bass will stay in tune much longer than conventional basses. The design improves stiffness, mechanical and environmental stability, sound quality, tuning and mechanical accuracy.

No Strings Attached.

I’ve been working much more closely with rock artists in the last few months, and I’ve earned a whole new respect for guitarists.  The Hyper Touch Guitar is from the mind of Max Battaglia at Givingshape Design Studio, and totally insane.  This unorthodox design replaces strings with a multi-touch screen, allowing the user to adjust the number of “strings” and frets, as well as tuning and sound effects.  A wireless command center that permits endless customization and infinite possibilities of expression.
