Weather many folks are familiar with “The Mix Up” or not, it remains one of my favorite collections of music ever. (And I SWEAR it’s not just because I made it). The “album” consists of just under a dozen tracks that are comprised of main stream rap lyrics blended with more classic/underground hip hop beats and sprinkled with tons of samples from popular culture. The premise and subject matter of each song is different and each song has it’s own particular flavor, but my favorite track to this day is “Hott Sauce”. I have a bit of a fascination/addiction to the little physical act described in the song, and listening to it makes me laugh every single time. With lyrics from Lil Wayne, GOV, Cam’ron, Three 6 Mafia and Lil Kim, “Hott Sauce” is not one to play in front of your parents, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy it none the less.  Click the pic to listen.

Thank You To My Supporters.

I know not all my fans are as eager to show their love for my work as the chick who emailed me this picture, but I still want to take the time to thank everyone who’s made the success of this blog possible so far.  I’ve never felt like, on the journey that is my career, that I’ve gotten to where I am alone, and this blog is a reflection of that.  I wanna give a huge thank you to all the promotional companies that shoot me info about their events, especially my people at Above Ground, Set4Life, F.A.2.E., and Pete’s Tavern.  I have to shout all the lovely models like Brit Bliss, Csilla Ray, Tammy Torres, and Jenna Luv who’s pictures bring hundreds of guys to the blog,  And I can’t forget artists like Rob Scott, C.I. Bang, Cassfly, G.O.V., and Tokyo 24 who use this blog as an avenue to put out their newest tracks, or the photographers and illustrators like Lauren Johnson, Brittany Jeffers, Michael Tudor, or Rodney Young who’s work always becomes the centerpiece whenever its up.  All of the random stories and subjects that go up are found be either myself or my assistant, and are painstakingly filtered through every single day.  (literally).  I’m glad all the work is paying off, so my final thank you has to go to all the viewers, the hundreds of subscribers, and all the people who put up with my posting stories on their Facebook pages all day long.  Thanks so much.

More to come…

G.O.V. – ‘The Vagina’ (Episodes 1 and 2)

G.O.V.

I normally don’t do artist profiles unless that artist comes out with a new product in their own medium, but when my boy, the lyricist G.O.V. crossed over and started putting out themed interview episodes, I had to put them up.  If you don’t remember G.O.V. from “Like A Cavalier” or “The Future“, then you sure will remember him from “The Vagina”.  These video’s have nothing to do with crazy vocals, or ridiculous lyrical abilities, but are just as good.  G.O sits contently in a room, and is interviewed about different topics related to… the vagina.  Check the method below, and be warned, while these videos are quite informative, they are not for children.

LeBron James The Musical?!?

Once again my boy G.O.V. has managed to wow me. After his track “The Future”, G.O.V. released “Like A Cavalier” which plays out as a love story, but is based on LeBron James transition from the Cavs to the Heat. Any sports fan, lyrical enthusiast, or person who enjoys good music, you’ll love this track. Click the pic to download.

‘The Future’ Is Here.

I had the distinct pleasure earlier today to speak with NY artist G.O.V., and get a copy of his track “The Future” to share with the you, good people of the internet.  The song features a soft melodic piano, complimented by the G.O.V.’s singing, and wrapped in a blanket of warbling bass and distinctively unique drums.  I honestly haven’t been able to take it off repeat since the first listen in studio, so I have no doubt that this, along with the rest of his upcoming mixtape, will soon become a classic.  Thanks again G for the exclusive… The future is looking bright.
