Big Ups To Big Sean.

This week, the LA Leakers on Los Angeles’ hit station Power 106 had on the iconic Big Sean for a sit down session. The Detroit rapper came with nothing but his best to discuss topics like his ability to provide for his family, his hunger and drive, and his closeness to Kobe Bryant. Spitting bars over ‘Hurricane’ from Kanye West (who’s about to change his legal name to Ye… But that’s a topic for a different post) and Drake’s ‘All Love’. The lyrics have to be heard to be absorbed, so take a look at the nearly 9 MINUTE freestyle session in the video below.

Big Sean – I Don’t F*ck With You (Official Video).

bigsean3

Touchdown. Big Sean plays the field in the cinematic video for his Kanye West and DJ Mustard-produced anthem “I Don’t Fuck With You” featuring E-40.  The G.O.O.D. Music MVP stars as the quarterback of his high school football team, the Lions, in the Lawrence Lamont-directed clip, which was shot at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, Calif. Against the odds, Sean makes a last-minute attempt to save his team from losing the game and comes away with a huge win.  There are plenty of cameos too from Mustard, E-40, Power 106′s Big Boy, Teyana Taylor, and Kanye, who stars as the team coach. Plus, peep the Naya Rivera look-alike, who flashes her boobs.  In between his collaborations with Calvin Harris and girlfriend Ariana Grande, Sean has been in the studio with Chris Brown, Kanye, and more working on his third album, and hopes to release it by the end of the year.  “You guys might be getting it for a stocking stuffer, who knows?” he recently told Carson Daly.  Watch Sean lead his team to victory, check the method below.

Big Sean brings an eerie, dark vibe to his new music video for “Ashley,” his latest single featuring Miguel. The song is inspired by his ex-girlfriend/ high school sweetheart Ashley, however the visuals were made out of pure creativity.

Naya Rivera

Naya Rivera is ready for her time in the spotlight as she strikes a sexy pose on the flip cover of Rolling Stone magazine. The 26-year old actress’ rise began on the popular Fox series Glee, where she plays lesbian cheerleader Santana Lopez. But with the musical drama filming its final season, Rivera is ready to move to the next phase of her career as a musician.

“It took a long time to figure out where I wanted to go musically,” she told Rolling Stone. With the kinks worked out, the newly engaged entertainer called on her fiance, rapper Big Sean, to jump on her first single Sorry Not Sorry this past summer. Rivera recalled that while her album is not completed, she was eager to push her label Columbia Records to release the single early. “Get on or get off. I think this is a summer song, and I want it on the radio by the end of the summer,” she told them.

It takes some self reflection for Skylar Grey to grasp a past love in “Back From the Dead.” Skylar’s latest video from her debut album Don’t Look Down. In this clip, art helps the singer come to terms with her heart reopening to a relationship she buried 6 feet under.

Big Sean Ft. Lil Wayne And Jhene Aiko – Beware

Big-Sean-Beware-620x350

It wasn’t until after a performance in San Francisco featuring Jhene Aiko, that I became a fan of her unique style of singing.  But if the first time I’d heard her was the song ‘Beware’ with Big Sean and Lil Wayne, I would instantly have been a follower.  The track off Big Sean’s album ‘Hall of Fame’ has all the mellow hints and seductive lyricism that make most of his deeper songs hits.  Take a look at the video below or by clicking the photo.

Big Sean – Fire

Miley Cyrus is featured in Big Sean’s latest video for his song, “Fire” and the rapper explained why he chose the former Disney darling to star in the clip. “A special video for a special song,” he Tweeted on Friday night. “I got Miley Cyrus for this video because she’s somebody who’s had a personal evolution as a lot of us have had.” Adding, “Besides all the personal stories I tell in the song, there are so many other ways people can make it through the fire. I think Miley did a great job as a metaphor for strong women, being strong person after heartbreak (hence the burning pic that could symbolize her old romance), or maybe even deeper problems but in the end remaining as elegant as a rose,” he wrote.

Clique (Live Remix) – DJ Enferno

Big-Sean-Jay-Z-Kanye-West-Clique-580x337

Although I don’t normally sport too many other DJ’s on this site… (for obvious reasons), you have to recognize skill and talent when you see it.  Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Big Sean’s massive hit Clique is a brilliant song on its own, but sometimes a DJ remix is never a bad thing.  DJ Enferno has a masterful live remix that he uploaded online not too long ago, and the video is beyond note-worthy.  Check the method below.

Meek Mill ft. Big Sean – Burn (Official Video).

As the world waits for the release of Meek Mill’s highly anticipated debut album Dreams & Nightmares, set to hit stores October 30th, Mill gives us a taste of what we should expect with the release of the music video for his single Burn featuring D-Town’s Big Sean. Mill and Sean go hard on this track, talking about the usual getting money, crushing honeys, and being all about that life. Mill brought on DRE Films for the production of the video, which is set in a parking garage similar to Kanye’s video for Mercy released earlier this year, but without the trippy camerawork. The video features Meek Mill and Big Sean going hard in the garage, avoiding the dangers of flaming trash barrels and stray crocodiles, while of course being surrounded by a handful of video vixens. This video is pretty dope and is definitely getting me excited to see what else Meek Mill will bring to the plate in his upcoming Dreams and Nightmares.

Big Sean – Mixtape Preview.

Take a little sneak peek at some material from Big Sean’s newest mixtape release.

Big Sean’s ‘Detroit’ Mixtape Announcement.

Big Sean’s mixtape announcement video kicks off with a boa constrictor slithering around the emcee’s neck, as 18-year-old Chicago producer Young Chop’s beat rings in the background.  Rightfully titled Detroit, Big Sean is gearing up for his new mixtape right after Labor Day Weekend.

Lil Wayne & Big Sean – My Homies Still (Official Video).

Rapper Lil’ Wayne released “My Homies Still” as the official first single from his much-anticipated tenth studio album “I Am Not a Human Being II”, scheduled to hit stores in 2012 via Young Money Records – In the StreetRunner & Sarom-produced urban single Weezy trades verses with G.O.O.D. Music representative Big Sean. “My Homies Still” is a sick tune! The beat is off the chain, and both Wayne and Sean throw in some of their dopest verses.  To me personally it looks and feels a little bit like ‘Rella’ from Odd future… which looked and felt like ‘My Name Is‘ from Eminem.  But check the method below.

Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T, & 2 Chainz – Mercy (Official Video).

After teasing the video’s release for quite some time, Kanye West dropped the visuals for “Mercy,” featuring 2 Chainz, Big Sean & Pusha-T.  The black and white paired-down video features the rappers dancing and rapping in a monochromatic parking garage, which makes sense, given that the song is named after the Lamborghini Murcielago (swerve). Say what you will about Kanye’s new songs (which have been criticized for lacking the emotion of his previous work), “Way Too Cold” and “Mercy” are unlike anything on his last solo effort, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Kanye’s hungry, and he’s not going to do the same thing twice.

Chris Brown ft. Big Sean & Wiz Khalifa – Till I Die (Official Video).

New video from Chris Brown ft. Big Sean & Wiz Khalifa “Till I Die” has Brown with gold teeth being his natural self, when he steps on the smoke filled 420 elevator and meets Sean & Wiz this video even has a guest appearance from Uncle Snoop driving them around downtown. Check the method.

Lil Wayne ft. Big Sean – My Homies Still.

Lil Wayne has given a taste of his upcoming album by debuting its first single “My Homies Still”, featuring Big Sean. The bouncy track uses the “Go Stupid” hook from the G.O.O.D. Music rapper’s hit “Dance (A$$)” and is produced by STREETRUNNER and Saron from Spliffington Management.

Hours before he dropped the song, the Young Money rapper unleashed an artwork for the track. The image simply features the song’s title written in red letters with a plain black background. The single itself is expected to be listed in Weezy’s upcoming album which is tentatively titled “I Am Not a Human Being Pt. 2”.

Interestingly, Weezy has been involved in a feud with Sean’s fellow G.O.O.D. Music member Pusha T. Pusha T started the beef by releasing “Exodus 23:1” in which he rapped about Weezy’s artist Drake. Responding to it, Weezy later released “Goulish” which took a jab at the one half of the hip hop duo Clipse.

Speaking of a potential conflict that may arise with the inclusion of Sean in Weezy’s single, Young Money president Mack Maine tells MTV News, “That was a great song that was made before that situation happened.” He adds, “I’m not ’bout to go into the studio and tell Wayne to take [Big Sean] off. Wayne not tryna take him off – he’s good peeps, he’s fam.”

Big Sean’s Latest Interview.

Big Sean speaks on if he smashed Nicki Minaj, hangin’ with Kim and Kanye, and Hot 97’s Summer Jam.

Young Gunz vs. Wale & Big Sean.

Every so often, I get bored and decide to make a basic mashup, just to play in my car, or toy around with on my phone when I’m bored.  I don’t typically release generic “someone’s lyrics over someone else’s beat” tracks, but when a good friend of mine heard a random mix I finished about a month ago, he wouldn’t stop bugging me till I dropped it.  So for your listening pleasure, I’ve assembled a basic mashup of Young Gunz ‘Can’t Stop Won’t Stop’ and ‘Slight Work’ from Wale ft. Big Sean.  You can download it here, or just take a listen below.

Ludacris – Big Bada Boom.

Beef in Hip Hop is something that has been around since the beginning and will continue to be around until the end.  Essentially all beef boils down to, is not liking someone, which happens in the real world all the time.  You may have a gripe with a co-worker, a slight inclining of hatred for your brother in law, or a discontent with someone you did a favor for.  When it’s in Hip Hop, you have massive celebrities who are known all over the world sending messages that can be heard by millions, so things tend to be a bit more intense.  I personally have no idea why Ludacris went after Big Sean with his newest track ‘Bada Boom’, but it seems to have people talking. (I’ve also heard through the grapevine that Luda is also taking shots at Drake with this song, but I don’t see how).  Take a look and give some feedback on Luda’s video for ‘Bada Boom’.

Kelly Rowland ft. Big Sean – Lay It On Me (Official Video).

Kelly Rowland has been bringing out hits since the earliest days in Destiny’s Child, but since her solo career started, her collabs have been off the chain.  Her newest track featuring Big Sean, titled ‘Lay It On me’ has been gaining popularity since it dropped, and now there’s an official video, check the method below.
