Disney x Star Wars = Star Wars Land?

On Christmas morning, Disney shared a behind-the-scenes update on Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the massive 14-acre new Star Wars-themed land opening in Disney’s Hollywood Studios next year. But if you were too busy to sit through the entire show for your sneak peek, Disney has now shared the video online.

The video features brief commentary from some key figures responsible for bringing Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to life. “It will be jaw-dropping and incredibly emotional to walk into the land for the first time,” promises Carrie Beck, VP of Lucasfilm Story Group. “To actually be standing there amongst the buildings, amongst the ships, and have this feeling that it is all real. That it has been brought to life. And it is right there in front of you – it’s overwhelming.”

The behind-the-scenes video also features more details and updated footage from Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the two attractions that will be featured in Galaxy’s Edge. While we’ve known for a while now that Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will put guests in the cockpit of the fastest ship in the galaxy, the Rise of the Resistance ride has been a little more mysterious. The video finally sheds light on what park guests can expect from “the most epic attraction” Disney has ever built.

Beyonce – XO

dsasdasdsd

Back in August, Beyoncé sent fans into a frenzy after she was spotted shooting a music video at Brooklyn’s Coney Island amusement park. Well here is the visual and it’s for her sexy, lover’s lullaby song, “XO.” In the Terry Richardson-directed clip, Queen B is seen having a great time with friends as she dances, rides roller coasters and go carts, and enjoys the scenery. “XO,” produced by The-Dream, Ryan Tedder, Hit-Boy, and Beyoncé, has an airy and freeing vibe.

The Diving Coaster.

Over the years roller coasters have become more and more impressive.  The largest, tallest, and fastest coaster in the world happens to reside in my home state of New Jersey.  (holla)  But what I like to call the Diving Coaster, actually named ‘The Vanishing Coaster’ in Japan takes things to entirely new heights… or lows.  The coaster dips an incredible 18 feet below ground in the middle of a water fountain.  Check the method.

I feel like at night, it would be even more of an entertaining experience.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

Ferrari World, the world’s largest indoor theme park and the first with a Ferrari theme, opened on Thursday in the Gulf emirate of Abu Dhabi.  The theme park, located near the emirate’s Yas Marina racing circuit, is spread over 86,000 square metres (925,696 square feet).  Its massive red roof covers 200,000 square metres (2.15 million square feet), and features the world’s largest Ferrari prancing horse shield. “The park is designed for up to 10,000 people at any one time,” its general manager Claus Frimand told AFP.  “It’s fantastic — this is what we have been waiting for, for years,” he said, adding that “literally three years ago, there was nothing here, only sand.”  Ferrari World offers 20 attractions, including Formula Rossa, which simulates driving a Formula 1 car and at 240 kilometres (150 miles) an hour is said to be the fastest roller-coaster in the world.  The park is part of Abu Dhabi’s multi-billion-dollar effort to develop Yas Island.  The emirate also plans to open branches of the Louvre and Guggenheim museums on nearby Saadiyat Island.  Abu Dhabi, the largest and richest of the seven emirates making up the United Arab Emirates, has launched an ambitious development plan to 2030 to modernize and diversify its economy away from oil.
