Solar Blinds That Charge Your Phone?

The Rolar Blinds do three things. They harness the energy of the sun, they cut the glare of the sun out during the day, keeping your indoors ambient, and they look absolutely gorgeous while they do the above two.

The Rolar Blinds stand at the crux between new-age photovoltaic printing techniques, a rise in demand for solar panels, and absolute graphic beauty, as they explore printing solar cells in manners that almost feel like graffiti, but with a more direct purpose, i.e., charging your devices. At the bottom of the blinds rest the cylindrical weights that come with a USB port that let you charge your devices or your power-banks by simply plugging them into the curtain and leaving them on a table nearby or the windowsill as you tap into the solar system’s largest (free) power source.

The cylindrical members (battery packs) are even detachable, allowing you to carry your power with you. However, the convenience of the Rolar Blinds takes second place to its graphical beauty that bring art and technology together beautifully and seamlessly.

Game Night: (Non Spoiler Review).

From the game pieces dropping in the opening titles, to the VERY unique ending credits, and everything in between Game Night is solid comedy.  If you enjoyed ‘The Hangover’, then ‘Game Night’ is right up your alley.  One thing that sticks out past the Ironman jokes, and anti Trump humor is the visual beauty in the movie.  For a ‘Pineapple Express’-esque comedy, the visual style of the different neighborhoods, some of the car chases, and one particular scene involving an egg, are wildly innovative.  Luckily those shots aren’t in the trailer, which leaves something to look forward to.

What IS in the trailers are most of the best jokes in the film.  From time to time theres a small quip, or a lengthy joke that offers up some respite from the old jokes that got you into the theater to begin with.  Rachel McAdams and Jason Bateman are a believable couple, and work quite well, while Billy Magnussen’s character is just a baffoon that doesn’t seem like he would be friends with the rest of the group in real life.  Lamorene Morris (Winston Bishop from the show ‘New Girl’) is essentially the exact same character as Winston, so you know what to expect in terms of humor.

But the stand out character is by far “Gary”,  played by Jessie Plemons, a creepy cop who just wants to be invited to game night.  Unfortunately only one character seems to be funny at a time,  and with a cast this diverse it seems like they should be able to play off one another a bit better.  There are a few surprise cameos that are used to good effect, and the themes of sibling rivalry create an unexpected depth.

With the random knowledge that some of the main characters have, their knowledge of trivia should have played a larger role in the film, and with the Hangover style jokes, the movie has very little re-watch value.  Although the plot ranges from a little predictable to having too many twists, ’Game Night’ is a film you’ll enjoy, although it is a very funny film but after you see it once, there’s not too much reason to see it again for a while.

We Are Venom.

Sony Pictures has released the official teaser trailer for Venom, and it really is a true teaser as we don’t actually get to see the titular antihero in all his glory. Instead, we’re greeted with a variety of action beats featuring Academy Award-nominated star Tom Hardy battling the demon from within.  The footage also provides us with our first official looks at 4x Academy Award-nominee Michelle Williams, Primetime Emmy-winner Riz Ahmed, and several others, but we still don’t have an real idea as to who they’re playing.

The New Deadpool 2 Posters.

20th Century Fox has started to ramp up the marketing campaign for Deadpool 2 and following that poster from this morning, we’ve now uncovered the following promotional photo that features the entire cast in matching sweaters.  Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) sits in the center while his gang, now consisting of Cable (Josh Brolin), Domino (Zazie Beetz), Dopinder (Karan Soni), Blind Al (Leslie Uggams), Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Vanessa Carlysle (Morena Baccarin), Colossus (Stefan Kapičić), and Weasel (T.J. Miller) give us their best smiles.

The Largest Ball Pit EVER…

Back in September, 2015, The National Building Museum in Washington D.C. hosted a 10,000 square foot ball pit filled by nearly one million recyclable translucent plastic balls. ‘The Beach’ is the brainchild of Brooklyn-based studio Snarkitecture, who sees the project as ‘an exciting opportunity to create an architectural installation that reimagines the qualities and possibilities of material, encourages exploration and interaction with one’s surroundings, and offers an unexpected and memorable landscape for visitors to relax and socialize within.’ We wish it was still open.

The Tiny Apartment With The Elevator Bed??

“YO! Home” is a 40-square-meter (430 sq. ft.) studio apartment prototype that allows a small multi-functional space to feel like a larger home. The bed and the dining table can be hidden when not in use.  The apartment unit is built in a factory modularly. The modulars then can be put together on-site. There are four moving functional features – the bed, the dining table, the pocket kitchen and floor storage. The Bed is lowered from the ceiling and can be raised all the way to the top. It has fail-safe sensors to prevent it from moving if someone is on it or under it. The Dining Table is sinkable with the back of the seat-backs serving as the floor. The Pocket Kitchen can be neatly folded away into the walls. It includes a washing machine, cooker, sink, and storage space. Floor Storage is hidden under a false floor, unnoticeable when not in use.
